So we happened upon this establishment just driving by and didn't see a crowd so we decided to stop in. It was about 6pm on a Saturday in March and there was only about 8 people inside. Plenty of room. Instantly got a table. The first beer, a blue point toasted, didn't taste right but the Stella they replaced it with was good. The food menu is simple but good. The usual burgers wings apps bangers and mash Shepard's pie. Etc. We had the wings, fries, and bangers and mash and it was all really good. Not the best I've ever had but a solid dinner in a place with really nice atmosphere. It felt like going into a small town bar but in the big city. Would definitely go back. Hoping they get that issue with the blue point figured out. Not sure if it was the keg or if they maybe didn't clean the lines out. Not sure but the taste was off but they immediately fixed it. Very happy and definitely recommend

I was in NY for a concert at The Gramercy Theatre. I had a room at Carlton Arms Hotel. I checked in around 12 and walked down to Fitzgerald's, I had already scoped it out on Google. Spent a couple hours there drinking a couple beers and having a great hamburger and fries. John the Bartender was great. Enjoyed conversation with him and couple of regulars. I loved the look of the bar, the atmosphere was great. Don't know when I will be back there but I will certainly drop in again.

Just had a few Guiness in Fitzgeralds NY. The barman Cormac O'Reilly great craic and makes you feel right at home. The bar is not one of those cheesy Irish pubs run by someone who isn't Irish. It's a NY Irish Bar with loads of personality where you meet people who just want to chill put and have a few beers taking time out from the concrete jungle. Defo worth a stop for some refreshments and a chin wag. Go raibh maith agat Cormac. UP THE REBELS.

Indubitably the worst costumer service experience I've had in my 5+ years living in the city. We sat down at 6 PM and put an order in for two platters, (supposedly plenty of food for a party of 7- I cannot attest to this, as I am writing this review without having experienced the food quality). At 7pm, we ask whether or not our order was almost done. Turns out the waiter didn't even put the order in. I then asked for clarification, in an extremely collected manner. I said, "You didn't put the order in?", to which the waiter responded by putting his hand in front of my face, saying the words, "calm down", in an apparently menacing manner. I don't write reviews often. But when any environment dedicated to providing good times fails its customers by lacking common courtesy and respect, there's a moral obligation to stop it in its tracks. Do not support this business. We all went on a Thursday, when the restaurant was not busy. Even then, I'd get it; it'd be understandable if the plates weren't ready simply because of their size, requiring an hour for preparation. But nope. They let us run out of water and provided zero attention to us in the 45 minutes of empty cups and stomachs. The waiter's name was Manny. Sorry to rat you out, dude. Actions have consequences.

(Side note: smoking seems to be allowed in here, so if you're a nonsmoker, consider finding a...

Ate lunch/had a work meeting here yesterday. I have worked for ten years literally 30 seconds away from Fitzgerald's but have only been in once before and didn't eat. This time I got the BLT and he got a burger. The BLT was totally fine--my friend (who goes in there quite a bit and recommended the place) liked his burger a lot. The food was ok but what sets this place apart is the bartender. He was amazingly friendly and warm.

I would definitely go back. However, part of the reason why I'd not been to Fitzgerald's very much is because there are two other pubs in the area (Molly's and The Globe) that I love. I won't go as far as making this my all-the-time go to place--I love the food at Molly's---but will definitely come back...
