Brooklyn vibes with a lot of antiques and cat decors. Found this spot while hunting for a café with outdoor seating. Just three tiny tables outside, and I managed to snag the last one. Even though it’s right off one of Brooklyn’s busiest streets, it felt surprisingly calm. Drinks were okay overall. The Orange Blossom Chai Latte leaned more “chai” than “orange blossom”. Peppery and spiced, but with only a whisper of citrus. More like a lighter chai with less milk than anything distinctive. The cold brew, on the other hand, was solid. Pastries were limited, so I tried the pistachio rose “cake.” Mini-tart sized, a bit steep for what it was, and almost certainly brought in from a local vendor (pulled from a box). Still, it was fragrant and moist enough to be worth pairing with a drink here.

Super cute cafe! I haven’t been wowed by the coffee drinks but I’m picky so that’s not surprising. Still good enough that I’m down to get a latte here occasionally. One thing I really like is that they have a lot of non-caffeinated drinks, so I can come here in the afternoon and still have options. They’ll make any of their hot teas into iced teas which is also something that I really appreciate since most shops will only make one iced herbal tea. Minimal pastry options so maybe not the best option if you’re also hungry. I like the cinnamon roll but found the cheddar scallion scone too salty the one time I got it. They have a clean bathroom which bumps my review up from 4 to 5 stars.

Thanks for the iced matcha in a hot coffee cup… Any iced drink is supposed to be more expensive because it’s in a bigger cup, uses more/expensive materials (plastic), and comes with more product. Instead, Flower Cat, ran out of plastic cups for iced drinks on a Saturday at noon AND they charged the full price for less drink. No apologies, no discount offering to charge slightly less, just less for the same money. To top it off, the person behind the counter acted like serving customers was some kind of burden. Only one other customer was in the whole place! And they ran out of the strawberry matcha. First time Google reviews led me astray.
