THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I've been going to this place for quite a while now and the only reason I've been going is because their food is fresh. I usually do take out but out of the many times I have gone I decided to dine in 2 times. The first time I got served by many waitresses, so when it came to the end, I decided not to tip anyone because 1. I didn't have enough money 2. WHY SO MANY WAITRESSES, i'm not royalty, 1 waitress is fine. When I was exiting the restaurant all 4 of them came up and asked me with a very aggressive attitude where their tip was excuse you? So I left! Anyways after that I've been back several times just for pick up, and also remember not to ask the owner for 3 extra packets of soy, or else you'll GET YELLED AT! Today I went back in with a friend and also we had 3 waitresses. In the end we also decided not to tip anyone because even though they bought us 1 plate of sushi rolls, no one even asked us how we were doing or if everything is ok, so why should I give a tip? Also the owner was talking bs about me, and what happened last time, how I didn't leave them a tip. As my friend and I are preparing to exit, one of the waitresses does not let us exit because we didn't tip them and threatened us that I need to give them a tip or else they are not letting us out. I said giving a tip for you is my own option, and bringing one plate of sushi is not that hard. She fought back with a nasty attitude saying how she is now poor because she does't get a check and she lives off of tips. Also on the receipt, the owner wrote "not include tip yet." And when I was arguing with the waitress, the owner was standing on the side and laughing. LOL well guess what your customer service sucks, and what a great way to market your restaurant. Definitely...
Read moreThe sushi is just OK. They have a good selection of vegetable sushi if you're a non fish lover and they have usual tempura offerings. I ordered the sushi sashimi dinner. It is cheaper by a few dollars than other places but the portions of fish are smaller see the photo. The miso soup seems to not be made with bonito and was OK, no salad was ordered. They are very serious about closing at 10:30 not what is posted online as 11. The owner will keep coming by as it gets closer to 10:30 to get rid of you. Our waitress was very nice and fast. This visit was on a Saturday. I might go back but nothing compels me. Like I said OK I would rather pay three to five dollars more for the same quality fish but larger rolls and pieces. If a member of your group is a non fish eater do try they have a good amount of veg options. One gripe for me is the fake crab in the sushi sashimi plate, I don't think processed fish has any place in a sushi restaurant. My stars for service would be 5 but for the amount of food/cost and the constant hovering of the owner it's a solid...
Read moreI’ve been a regular here for a while because the sushi is consistently fantastic—fresh, well-prepared, and always satisfying. The staff is great, and the atmosphere is generally welcoming. However, there’s one issue that really takes away from the experience: the tiny fish tank in the dining area.
It’s hard to enjoy a meal while watching fish swim in such a cramped, unnatural space. I’ve talked to friends and others who’ve been to the restaurant, and many of them feel the same way—it’s uncomfortable and kind of heartbreaking. I’ve actually stopped eating in and just order takeout now, which is disappointing because I genuinely love the place otherwise.
I hope the owners might consider donating the fish to a sanctuary or a local aquarium where they can have a more appropriate, enriched environment. It would show a lot of care and compassion, and I think it would make a big difference to a lot of customers like me who notice...
