i want the salon to take this feedback very seriously. it’s been few months since i went there and most of my nails start cracking from mid of the nail since then so im still getting a treatment which i’ve never had since my nails are usually very strong. all of my nails edges are too thin to do any nail treatments now (few of them still really hurts) and i feel very sad and stressed every single day.
i asked Amy to do my nails as usual but somehow she was in such a bad mood and she didn’t even greeted me and start taking off my previous gel nail really roughly. she never did like that before so i definitely notice the difference of her mood. one of my fingers cuticle part start bleeding because she did so rough but she just wipe the bleed with the paper napkin and she didn’t even say sorry. also she seemed she had some issue with her arm (not sure it was real or fake) and she was trying to stretch her arm and looked like that she was acting like she didn’t wanna do my nails and i asked her if she was ok and she said ok but she looked so angry to me.(why?!!) i’m pretty positive she knew i haven’t see the nail color book to choose the color but she asked me what color i want and when i told her i haven’t seen the book yet she seemed so annoyed and give me the book and she start stretching her body (!!!) in front of me when i open the book as if she’s so so tired to do the nails for me, again. i couldn’t believe how she act… i also felt the pressure from her that i should choose the color asap and i really felt uncomfortable. and usually she leave around 10 mins for taking the gel nail process with the gloves but she only wait few mins to take them off so she buffed my nail more than usual and i definitely felt my mail was so fragile than usual. and again, of course she didn’t wanna do a gentle procedure to me so i didn’t felt comfortable at all till the end.
i have no idea what happened to her but i’m also in the service industry and i thought it was so unprofessional and making people very upset for no reason. all the people are nice there so i’m super upset and they do such a great job all the time so very sad i never wanna go to this...
Read moreI have been going to get my nails done here for over 6 years I had bad experience on driggs location in 2017, then stopped for a while when I found out the women I use to see worked at Grand street location I started going back. I got my nails done earlier in the week before Christmas 2021 and I found my gel chipping and top coat not as shinny so stopped bye to request to see Micheal for a new Gel Mani and she was completely booked. So asked if could come in get edges fixed and top coat and expected to pay $11 - long story short I got charged $20 for something was faulty, instead of getting told upfront how much she was planning to charge me and mention it would be better if would schedule time to get them re polished at minim and explain the coast upfront she waited until I was done.
Manger was unprofessional, when I started complaining she then looked up my account to see the exact date my mani and pedi and then said because it was over 7 days she won't be able honor free touch up as didn't call and leave message during the holidays she proceeded to tell me. I mentioned I was happy to pay but wasn't expecting to pay a full amount for regular mani. Then she tells me that I should have called left voicemail. I spent over $90 for my mani + pedi + For an individual who has given consistent business for over 6 years on monthly bases and the manager wouldn't make exception due to faulty gel. Infuriated me - for the price I accept to be treated with with hire level customer services. You do the math - how much I spend a year. I am taking my business else where in...
Read moreMy best friend and I visited Primp and Polish while on vacation in New York, and we were blown away. From the moment we walked in, it felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city—elegant, serene, and so beautifully put together.
I have to start by shouting out Natalie, an incredibly talented nail artist whose work I absolutely love. She’s creative, meticulous, and has an incredible eye for design. You can give her a general theme or idea, and she’ll bring it to life with thoughtful, stunning detail. Every set she creates feels like a work of art. I’m sharing photos of her designs in this review—they speak for themselves!
And a big thank-you to Rachu for the wonderful pedicure. She was so kind, detailed, and made the experience feel luxurious. The pedicure setup is fantastic—from the comfy massage chairs to the overall relaxing atmosphere, it was everything I needed.
We were greeted so warmly and offered wine, tea, coffee, or water right when we arrived. Every detail—from the hospitality to the service—made it feel like a true treat. Highly recommend Primp and Polish, and definitely book with Natalie if you want...
