The food at friedman is always stellar and I look forward to it every time I am traveling to the city. I have stayed in the attached edison 8 times this past year and I had nothing but positive things to say until my most recent visit. I tried to place a togo order online and it wasn’t working so I proceeded to call to place the order. I was then told that I would have to come into the store and place a togo order, which I did. The hostesses at the front clearly can not handle the stress of the dinner rush. While the ever popular gales broadway rose continues to expand, I avoid dining in at all cost as it completely changes the atmosphere with the blasting music. Hence why I was placing a togo order. After then being sent to the bar by the first hostess to place a togo, I was again not helped. I was ignored by all 3 staff members behind the bar. I returned back to the host stand to get help and a new hostess rudely said “can I help you with something” I asked nicely if there was someone who could place my togo order. she told me to return back to the bar. I explained that I was not helped at the bar where she said “you can stand here and someone will help you, it is first come first serve” This is the hostess with winged eyeliner and long straight black hair who was also unpleasant to other guests at the front door. Instead of helping the guests she made them feel unimportant. Hate to break it to you, a restaurant is a place where guests come to eat, drink, and relax. Your job is to accommodate people’s needs, not...

First of all, I will say the atmosphere is great. Musical performances by the staff are great. Better then Stardust, which surprised me.

Food was also very good. Little pricy but not overly much relative to other restaurants in the area. The B.L.A.T. was excellent.

However, our experience was horrible given the service, or lack of service I should say. First, we asked for a table for four and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. So we sat down and waited but decided to get takeout as we thought it would be faster. After ordering our two items for takeout (we decided to share) at the bar as requested, we sat down for 5 minutes and then saw at least three tables come and and get a table immediately, including a table for four right in front of us.

After 20 minutes of waiting I asked the bartender if he knew how long our order would take and he said 10 minutes. I sat down and didn't say anything further but when the table of four who came in after we offered received their meals, I had to ask the concierge again and she said she would check. She came back to tell me the other had been lost and asked if we still wanted the order. I said yes and after maybe five minutes, she brought my order and have me the bill.

Needless to say, I think they could have been more genuine in apologizing for the significant delay. So yes, good good but bad service means I would not recommend...

This is probably the worst restaurant experience and the poorest service I have ever had in NYC. I went on a Sunday for lunch with 4 friends. We got seated at a 4-person table so one of us (me actually) had to sit on a chair in the aisle (even though we had made a reservation for 5 ages beforehand). I ordered a breakfast burger described as short rib so I got a bit surprised when the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked but anyway I answered "very well done". Our plates arrived with what looked like a regular burger patty. The menu said that all sandwiches were served with herb fries but our burgers arrived with a salad. When we asked her about the fries she told us that this one came with a hash brown so the fries would be extra...disappointing but moving on. I tried this hash that was completely cold then cut my meat which turned out to be completely rare. I called her telling her that I could not eat that for those reasons. Without a word she took my plate away. 10 minutes later with nothing happening I asked when my food would finally arrive, still expecting a hot well done burger. She looked at me astonished asking I quote "so now you wanna eat?". I told her to forget it, left my friends at their lunch and stepped out of this place where I will definitely never step a foot in again. It's so sad when restaurants rely solely on...

**A Unique and Unforgettable Bar Experience in NYC** I recently discovered a truly unique bar in New York City that stands out from all the rest. This bar has the brilliant idea of having the waitstaff sing, creating an enchanting and lively atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else. The talented singing waitstaff adds a magical touch to the whole experience, making every visit unforgettable. I went with my friends one afternoon, and we decided to try their hot chocolate and herbal teas. Both were exceptionally delightful and perfect for a cozy afternoon. The bar also boasts a massive variety of drinks and food options, ensuring that there is something for everyone. The ambiance of the place is both warm and vibrant, with beautifully designed interiors that make you feel instantly at ease. The staff, apart from being amazing singers, are also incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every customer has a wonderful time. This bar is the perfect spot for an afternoon break or an evening out, offering not just great drinks and food but an experience that you will cherish. If you're looking for a place that combines excellent service, great refreshments, and a unique twist, this bar is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

The food here is incredibly well executed. I've eaten here once for lunch and again for breakfast, and all of our meals were incredibly well prepared, which I don't say lightly. The grilled chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had - I don't understand how they so perfectly cooked such thin strips of chicken. The potato pancake on the Nova Benny was the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the poached eggs couldn't have been better. My wife's salmon was flavorful and cooked perfectly (as were its mashed and spinach,) and her Pastrami Hash was also incredible, but a little carrot in the hash would have been a welcome addition. My son had the cheeseburger (plain with cheese and a gluten free bun) twice lol and loved it both times, as well as the fries. The gluten free options are awesome if that's you, and also great if you're not. Quality service, sometimes a tad slow, but that's me being hyper critical because everything else was done so well. Bathrooms are in the adjoined hotel, so a little walk - men's bathroom was fine for me, but my wife described the women's room as "tiny and overused". Overall, Friedman's is highly recommended!

Last day in New York. Morning at the Fieldmans. Eggs with style at 15.24 USD. As I watched the window thinking back at the amazing week I had in New York jazz was pouring down from the speakers making it even harder for me to contemplate leaving. This is a place with more style. Nicely dressed waiters, big space, a more up class setting, being situated on 228 W 47th a few meters away from Times Square and inside the Edison Hotel. The food tasted good and I enjoyed that I was asked how I want the eggs and the complimentary bottle of water. However I did not feel such a difference from Westway in terms of quality. And I don’t mean this in a bad way for either place but it is really hard to mess some eggs and toast. Frankly you can eat in either place your breakfast and be ok with it. For more complicated dishes I cannot really tell but if you’re looking for basics either will serve you well.
