Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I went to this restaurant at 3:35 pm on 9/11/2022 and when me and my boyfriend arrived we went directly to the register because we only wanted to get patties. We were then spoken to rudely with “go order over there” by Laverne C. My boyfriend then stated to her that we only wanted patties which were directly behind her when she decides to state, “so I’m to grab the patties with my hands” knowing she was being extremely rude to us so we decided to tell her that she knows she’s supposed to use tongs to grab and package them. She then yelled “you order with her” while she continued to talk under her breath and out loud instead of just assisting and getting what we were there to purchase and pointing at her other employee which was obviously busy with a customer while Laverne was not with any customer and could have easily put on gloves and got the patties and then removed them to charge us. She continue to get loud and I stated to her that she is being rude to customers and that not professional nor lady like. She then turned to her bush coworker and told her “I’m going outside” and she walked off leaving her employee busy to take care of all the customers with no help. 2 other employees from the back of the store emerged and that is when the female employee that came to help assisted us with what we wanted and cashed us out. This was extremely unprofessional and I don’t understand how someone like her works for a company that provides food to the public! We frequent this location along with many of our family members, family, and coworkers and this is the move distasteful experience we have had and we never thought a situation like this would occur. It has honestly put in our mind to no longer frequent the location and share this experience with all of our family, friends, and coworkers. Whoever the manager is, this has go to do...

I love Golden Krust this restaurant has been apart of my life since , I was a child. When I went to school in Jamaica. The school there all had their own personal cooks. But you had to pay for this cooked school meals. It was very delicious. It was more exciting to leave school during lunch with your friends.

If you lived close to the school you go home for meals or you could buy affordable street or Golden Krust food or go to different affordable restaurant. Getting to leave school during lunch with your friends was extremely fun. That the time I was in elementary school.

My after school snack when I was a high school student was spicy beef patty. At this Golden Krust when I went to Harry S Truman H.S. During my school days when school over we would buy our favorite after school foods and enjoy them with our friends. That was fun and amazing times. And now we continue this lunchtime or dinnertime tradition with the people we work and also with our families.

Food is amazing when you have someone to enjoy it with. Try new foods and activities with the people you love or just love to hate.

It's amazing when you find restaurants that can cook amazing foods from your own country or someone else's culture .

If you like Jamaica cooking or you are just interested in the culture. Golden Krust is a very good restaurant to try just to see if the food is something you will enjoy eating .....

When it comes to traditional Jamaica cooking I believe that there are many Jamaica restaurant that are versatile and every ingredients is fresh and cooked only in the restaurants not shiped in. Traditional Jamaica cooking is what I love food that is made...

The ABSOLUTE CLEANEST avoided Crust Resturaunt I've been to. Their food look EDIBLE. My model ate there today..not I because I got food poisoning 2x from 2 different golden crust locations (its in my reviews..just check..not trying this franchise cooked food any longer. Bun? Yes. Tin cheese? Yes. But anything cooked by G.C. my belly can't take.

But back to this location...there is an elder lady there who is welcoming and inviting. Avoid the young gyal....she think she too cute and make some of the craziest faces at customers when they not looking as I saw her do to a few while there.

The place clean clean as if them sweep,mop, and wipe every thing down between customers. The food is visable and up front and look fresh every time I visited this location. I visited 4x but this is my 1st review. The other locations the food in the back an you haffi PRAY it not old and hope it's good .

No cold food here. You actually SEE the steam rising from the food on display for you to choose from.

Back to the elder woman, when my model ordered, she prepared my models order and the utensil she used for the meat, she CLEANED IT right after the order was done.
