Hummingbird Grill & Lounge — Restaurant in New York

I had an event & space rented yesterday @ ultimate grill.... it would have a great event if I didn’t have a particular staff handling me as if my money wasn’t valued. Her energy was totally off..The way in which she spoke to me and my guest wasn’t well received. It was very unprofessional & unpleasant to deal with. I believe she might be the owner and that in itself is unbelievable that a person in her position — don’t know how to great, assist, appreciate, the clients she is taking care of. And if I might add the fact that she’s Jamaican and I am supporting my cultures’ business I am truly appalled in her behavior. Michelle — clients are everything to keep business going ... customer service has to be majorly on point... know how to address your clients and know how to articulate yourself in how you handle anyone in business. You certainly don’t know who’s who and you never know the impact of your behavior has had of being completely turned off doing business with you in the future. Every way in which you acted last night was RUDE... Michelle — you are a very rude individual... We did our best as clients to adhere to all the necessary rules. You could have spoken to me, as the event host when you were going to turn the lights onn — (you saw me) We cleaned the night before and it was unappreciated .... Many other things I could elaborate on.... I am totally turned off by you and your energy...

I will never ever order food from your restaurant ever again!!!! You should ashamed of yourself serving food wasn’t even fresh at all. I feel so disappointed and disrespectful. From Grubhub I have order curry goat with the rice and peas suddenly you guys gave just bunch of bones what kind of mess is that. As for the rice and peas it has sour watery smell which is disgusting. As for boneless chicken Rasta Pasta you guys gave me shredded up cheese and penne noodle covered like it being throw together like what kind of crap is that. I have also ordered Salt fish fried dumplings for my mother when the restaurant call me stated it wasn’t available. So I have to order chicken soup with fried dumplings. Once again this soup has chicken bone and vegetables seem like it old not fresh. For the fried dumplings part it too hard for my mother to chew it. Since yesterday on August 21 until now my family and I are now sick my mom just had surgery. I reached out to customer service Grubhub you guys refuses refund my money back due to you guys poorly bad quality food. I will no longer do business with UG Grill. Disappointed to say the least! The restaurant provided food for my birthday party and delivered half of what I paid for the day of my event. When I told the owner she apologized and said she needed about an hour to prepare and deliver the rest of the food, what I got was disappointing, and my guest told me so. They rushed to prepare the food and delivered the wrong thing the second time, that's embrassing. SMH. Part of my money had to be refunded. At that point the owner invited me and a couple of friends to the restaurant as her guest. I reluctantly accepted and took 3 friends. After we ate she presented us with a bill for the drinks and appetizers. That was tacky. The owner should have comped the entire meal including the beverages. Again, I will never do business with UG...
