The other day, I dropped by and they had a $9.79 vegetable curry lunch special that came with two different, delicious curries, two portions of rice, and a fantastic piece of naan. If it weren't so good, it would have lasted me 3 meals. The value for portion size, price, and flavor are unbeatable, even among the many other amazing Bangladeshi/Indian restaurants in this community. On top of that, the person who took my order was kind and patient.

I could have paid twice as much as what I did and still felt satisfied with what I got. In this time where so many restaurants are understandably raising prices for inflation, restaurants like Green Chili that keep prices low for the sake of their community are even more important to support. I ordered takeout from here for the first time last night and was totally blown away. I got the samosa chaat, goat curry, sag paneer, garlic naan, and cucumber raita. The goat was super tender and flavorful, the samosa chaat was delicious (plenty of crunch which I love) as was the sag paneer and garlic naan to sop up all the sauces. I also love that the raita came in a half pint container and nothing smaller bc I love having plenty of raita to enjoy with the spicy parts of my meal. My order also came with a surprise mango juice and a sampler of their rice pudding. I have to say I think this is the best Indian I’ve had in Crown Heights so praise is deserved! A fantastic, cozy Mom & Pop feeling shop. Went there for lunch during my hospital shift - had the chicken cutlet with rice and beans. Cutlet was well breaded and seasoned, beans were well dressed, and the rice was fluffy. Mixing the rice and beans tasted just like a home-cooked meal. Portions were quite large, especially for lunch - definitely two meals worth. The atmosphere is very friendly - the gentleman who prepared our food was incredibly kind and even offered homemade condiments for us. Being able to see the full kitchen made it truly feel welcoming, like you're eating at a friend's. And their refrigerator is so cool! Absolutely...
