Thbis shop is poorly managed. The counter workers are always rude and abrupt. So many times I have entered shop to purchase ice cream and was ignored by staff who were too busy carrying on personal conversations. I had to repeat my order to counter person 6 times. Mind you, it was a very simple order of 3 items. Server wore no gloves, which I noticed while she completed last ordered item. During my last recent visit I was appalled by the unsanitary conditions behind counter. Refuse strewn across floor and the countertops were in a disgustingly dirty state. The server who wore no gloves handled my cash and change bare handed. Then proceeded to serve next customer in same manner. Currency, both bills and coinage, are some of the most unsanitary things one can handle. To handle money barehanded and then touch food containers and utensils etc. is unthinkable! There is no excuse for this at all. I have read so many of the reviews of this store here and see how the owner repeatedly "apologizes" and then proceeds to offer excuses. Looking at so many reviews and the dates of them, illustrates for me that the owner is either unable to implement the correct standards or simply can’t be bothered to do so. What is painfully obvious is that NOTHING CHANGES. The Haagen Daz franchise needs to remove this store owner immediately, they are marring the reputation of the brand badly. Read moreI ordered a cake from Häagen-Dazs via Uber Eats and then called the store to verify how many servings it would provide. To my surprise, they didn’t even have the flavor I ordered in stock and offered alternative options. Unfortunately, none of the alternatives I wanted, so I asked if they could cancel the order. That’s when things took a turn for the worse.
The employee I spoke to suddenly caught an attitude, insisting that I needed to cancel the order myself. I found this absurd—if the store doesn’t have something in stock, why should the customer be responsible for canceling? It felt like they were more concerned about protecting their cancellation rate than providing good service.
When I pointed out that they had the ability to cancel, the employee became extremely combative and kept insisting they couldn’t do it. This left me wondering, if I hadn’t called the store, how would they have handled this situation? The back and forth was frustrating and unnecessary, so I ended the call. Uber Eats restaurant support eventually stepped in and confirmed the cancellation for me.
The whole interaction with that employee was off-putting. It takes nothing to be respectful and to speak to people properly. Judging by the other reviews this seems to be a reoccurring issue for this location. If it weren’t for customers, there wouldn’t be a business. The person who made my milk shake was not pleasant at all , he acted annoyed as if he didnt want to service me (my receipt says the persons name is Habib R). I had to ask for caramel even though my milk shake comes with it. When I received my milk shake it was as if it was milk poured in a cup with caramel . It was extremely liquidy/thin and not the thick consistency I requested. When I expressed that I was unhappy and that, that was not what I requested. The unpleasant sales person replied "oh well I gave u extra icecream". I explained that I didnt ask for extra icecream I asked for a thick milk shake which means adding less milk, then I requested that he make me another. Said person replied that I would have to pay for another shake if I wanted another shake made. After already spending $8.95 on a small shake I refused to pay again.
