f you’re on the hunt for the perfect acai bowl, look no further than Happy Bowls. I eat there all the time—seriously, sometimes I’ll drive 40 minutes just to get my hands on one. I eat acai every single day, so trust me when I say I’ve tried them all, and Happy Bowls is in a league of its own.
Acai seems super trendy now, with new places popping up on every corner. But Happy Bowls stands out—and not just because of the beautiful vibe. The owner is Brazilian, so you know the acai here is the real deal. Unlike so many places where it tastes like random fruit puree, the acai at Happy Bowls is authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. It’s not overly sweet, just pure, smooth deliciousness.
One of the things I love most is that their ingredients are always fresh—which honestly blows my mind in NYC, where that’s not easy to pull off. Every bowl tastes like it was made just for you, with the best fruits, granola, and toppings.
Beyond the food, the customer experience at Happy Bowls sets the bar. The owner is always on-site, greeting customers with a smile and listening to feedback. She takes it seriously too—like when they recently opened a second location after people asked for more access. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel valued every time you walk in.
I can’t stress enough—if you’re getting an acai bowl, Happy Bowls is where you need to go. Skip the generic chain spots and treat yourself to something special. This place isn’t just serving food; it’s setting the gold standard for how businesses should run. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You’ll...
Read moreThe rice they use in their poke bowls is dry and old, clearly recycled from the day before. They want to charge you $1 extra for half tuna and salmon even though you're getting the same amount and will charge you 75 cents for every veggie, including extras like onion bits and nori!!! Who does that? Charging money without adding any value to my purchase? Im i just an atm to these hustlers? I ended up paying 16 bucks for old rice and the lowest portion of tuna I've EVER seen in a poke bowl and had to ignore the rest because my morals wouldn't allow me to give this business my hard earned money.
Go spend your money elsewhere, there are countless poke restaurants in new york city where they wont try to scam you and you will actually get a descent bowl for the same price!
Note to owner: save yourself the excuses, actually do something to fix your...
Read moreReally do like their açaí bowls, but unfortunately, they didn’t provide good customer service to my boyfriend when he was not satisfied with his bowl recently. Instead of making him a completely new açaí bowl, they said the only thing they could do for him is blend everything together.. they blended everything together and that’s what they handed him. It looked like a smoothie in a bowl. Because of this, I won’t be coming here again. Customer service matters to me, and if it is not provided when you’re paying premium for your food, then what is the point.. hopefully they fix their customer service because their bowls are super delicious. Now I go to Juice Vitality - right on 1st Ave and they’re just as delicious with really good...
