Just picked up a birthday cake and a pizza role and both of them were AMAZING! I'm updating my review because I just had to. We brought the cake to a birthday and all people could talk about was how good it was. No one could believe it was vegan and the birthday girl said our cake was better than the cake her parents bought her a week before this party. I'd feel bad for the parents but they also agreed because they were there, eating like 4 slices each. Zoe and her team are professional artists who I am so impressed with. Somehow they are able to make the best tasting cakes. The Pizza roll was also amazing and I was going to share it but by the time we arrived at the party I already ate the whole thing and I don't feel bad about it. Well, maybe a little but I redeemed myself by showing up with the grand prize which was the birthday cake. The cake we bought was a chocolate, raspberry cake, very light, full of flavor and not overly sweet, perfectly balanced.
Below is the review I left before.
Thank you Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery for exceeding my expectations! Wow! You are an artist. I asked Paula to create a birthday cake that wasn’t too sweet since my girlfriend and I don’t like overly sugary cakes and you perfectly got that. I’m so surprised how you did that. I’m so impressed. And I wanted the cake to have an earthy look to it but I wanted it to have a wow factor and that's what I got, I’m so impressed I can’t even tell you. My girlfriend is so happy.
little funny story- We just had lunch and she asked me if I wanted to try the cake and I was already full so I said I’ll just share some of hers and I pretty much took over. The vanilla in between the chocolate goes really good together.
The frosting is a perfect level of sweet that goes really good with the rest of the cake. I can’t get over how good this cake is! It’s like you went inside our brains and made a cake. I’m so happy!!!! And...

I appreciate Zoe Bakery's commitment to natural ingredients and vegan options, and their effort to refund us for the cake. However, I still feel compelled to share my experience to help future customers.
We ordered a $65 cake for my son’s birthday, but the icing and the donut on the cake had an unpalatable taste. It wasn't just a matter of the cake being exposed to heat; the donut tasted distinctly different from the rest of the cake, and not in a sour or heat-damaged way. This raises concerns about the consistency of their products. The cake was not outside in the heat at all if we made add.
Although we were refunded, the bakery did not apologize until we made a review and they did not inquire further about our disappointment, particularly given it was for a special occasion like a birthday. This lack of customer service attention was disappointing.
I strongly recommend that customers taste their cake before leaving the bakery, especially if it's a custom order for a special event. This could help avoid any unpleasant surprises.

I would have loved to give 5 stars but we ordered a $65 cake for my son’s birthday and when we tried the cake, the icing and the donut on the cake had an unpalatable taste. Something was not right about it. Thankfully they refunded us. Unfortunately, they did not apologize and acknowledge our disappointment with my son’s birthday, and want to know more about how it tasted to better serve their customers. That stood out to me. Be aware you may have to taste your cake before you leave if you order a...
Read moreGiving four stars for now, holding out hope that they must have some better offerings, and fully vegan places are still hard to come by. I came a bit late and didn't have many pastries left. I do wanna try the savory food, next time that sounded good. You should order ahead of when they open or come right at 12 when they open, for a more full selection.
I tried the chocolate chip cookie, the pink-frosted cake doughnut with sprinkles, and the strawberry cheesecake. The cookie was the best thing, but it was lacking any sort of bite, chewiness, butteryness, or nice browned crispy edges. I wonder if it was gluten-free or something. The cake doughnut had a great moist texture, but was way lacking in sweetness, especially in the icing, which was a first for me with vegan pastries. The cheesecake cheese part was sort of okay, the crust at the bottom was good. The jello on top had a weird artificial berry taste to it that reminded me of a bad brand of jello from my childhood. The strawberries were probably the best part of it.
