The best chicken wings. Great selection of beer brewed on site, friendly, attentive staff, all menu items exceed expectation. Highly recommended.

6/23/19 Still giving K&L 5 stars but today’s brunch staff were horrible. I noticed the green eyes was being served in a different glass than usual and asked if they had switched glasses and the server coldly replied, “they’re the same size” and walked away. Later, a woman pointed out that the lemon in her bloody was dirty and the server tersely asked, “do you want another one?” Later she whispered the story to her colleague in front of the woman and said that she had dismissively replied, “okay” when the woman brought it to her attention. One big reason to visit K&L is for the friendly staff. “Bartender AM 200” (on the receipt) does not uphold K&L’s friendly culture.

9/22/19 Once again the women working brunch were inattentive. They spend time behind the bar chatting while a restaurant full of customers waits to be served. You must do better.

11/6/22: This place continues to disappoint compared to what it was like pre-COVID. I was in today and it was very busy. My friend ordered a Thought Criminal and was brought an NZHZ. when she said she hadn’t ordered that beer, it was taken away and the same beer was brought back by a different server who called it Thought Criminal. I ordered the same beer and was served something completely different. Instead of swapping out my friend’s beer, you returned the wrong pour and called it by the name she had ordered. When I asked the server about it, she replied, “I know, my brain” and walked away. Later I asked for hot sauce and was brought an unopened bottle of Cholula Chili Lime that had expired 5 months ago. When I told the server, she told me not to be mad at her, took the bottle from me, and returned with nothing. Honestly this is so embarrassing for you. It’s almost comical. These days you truly suck.

8/19/23: Gave K&L another chance, but it has gotten even worse. Servers seem to hate being at work, sandwiches no longer come with fries, and they have a “one card per check” policy now. It’s not that hard to split a check, get...

This place deserves a better staff. The food is excellent and the beer is beer, but the people working here are unbearable. This is not a new thing either, I have been going there for 7 years and over the course of it all there has been one employee (Marissa) who was good. I would purposefully only go there when she was working because the rest of the FOH has the lowest level of emotional intelligence I have ever witnessed. Last time I was there we watched 3 employees sit behind the bar and gossip for at least 10 minutes while me and my friend were waiting to order. I made eye contact with the bartender at least 3 times and not at one point did he come over to take our order lol. One guy I assumed worked there but after they talked forever he went to the other side of the bar and had a drink. It was insane. He finally comes over like "you guys ready?" AS IF WE DIDNT HAVE MENUS DOWN STARING AT HIM FOR 10 MINTUES! Im not even exaggerating! excuse me, are you ready?? This is how it has been for SEVEN YEARS! Seriously it is like they are afraid to talk to you. The food is so good so I would only order pickup for a while because they are slow even when no one is there lol. Even after the prices went up (significantly) I still thought the food was worth it but it made the service seem that much worse. I moved away from NY and this review was one of my loose ends. Also, the ranch sucks, sorry, but Im a ranch snob so they dont lose points for that. Ranch shouldnt be green but whatever its Brooklyn. Everyone working here needs to be slapped in the face and/or replaced. Ive seen better staffs on Bar Rescue. Go for the food, but order for pickup because they will make your brain hurt. I hope something changes next...

Ordered pick up and was shocked at how disappointing our food was! We ordered nachos and the inside out grilled cheese with waffle fries. The nachos... we know that obviously they’re going to be bar nachos but sometimes that’s just what you’re in the mood for! Idk what picture that is of the nachos when you scroll through food and drink, but that was NOT what we received. Barely any cheese which was over done and not fresh guac. It was like the toppings were sprinkled on with toddler hands and boxed up. Awful :( the inside out grilled cheese I was super excited for cause the picture is drool worthy. This was also overdone and didn’t even stick together! How does cheese not stick together in a sandwich?! The waffle fries were alright... to-go fries are always a risk but I expected a little better. The pickle was great! Lol. But overall a complete rip off and Applebee’s woulda been a cheaper and sadly better choice...I understand a lot is going on right now but as a restaurant staying open during a pandemic... we expect if we’re going to support local spots, that the quality is exactly as it would be during regular operating times or at least close...
