I used to really like this place and was a regular there, but my most recent experience changed my opinion about them. I ordered aloo motor gobi via seamless and in my very last bite of food I got a piece of chicken. I'm vegetarian and you can only imagine how that discovery made me feel. I called the restaurant to inform them about the situation. I was offered replacement (which I didn't want because I already ate all my food but also because how can I be sure there wouldn't be any meat in the replacement dish?) Person that spoke to me did apologize but it didn't sound very sincere and he wasn't able to answer my questions which were: how could that have happened and how can restaurant assure me it's not going to happen in the future. I was told he would speak to the chef and ask and of chef says it could have happened I would get my money back. He took my name and phone number. I never got a phone call back. Next day, I emailed the restaurant. I gave them 3 days to respond. Never heard from them. This is how much they care about...
Read moreI’ve eaten at and ordered take out from Indian Spice for a good amount of time. Over 50 times. Recently they were closed for about a month for renovations, but I could not tell that was case last night when I stopped in and ordered take out. I could not see any apparent renovations at all.
To me, it appears there is a change of management and kitchen staff. I could not understand why my order took close to 1 hour to make. And when I got the food, it was lukewarm and not as tasty as it should have been. I overheard the girl tell the delivery person to hold up with delivering one of his take out order, as another one was coming out. As long as I waited for my order, the delivery person waited even longer before his 2nd take out came out. You can image how cold his first take out delivery was by the time he delivered the food to the customer.
I told the girl Indian Spice will lose their customers if food takes 1 hour to prepare. She apologized, but seems did not care.
There are many other Indian restaurants to go to. Indian Spice is...
