JPan Sushi — Restaurant in New York

I ordered from this place once and was going to order from here again, but changed my mind. The first time they were super rude, took forever with my food, and from the restaurant to my apartment RIGHT NEXT DOOR my food was cold. Does not make any sense. Today I had an incident with them. A little backstory, I babysit and had to pick up a kid early from school, he didnt have lunch so I bought him a hot dog from the cart outside of the Carroll Street F/G station. I gave a $20 and received $16 in change which I just threw in my bag. Now I go to this sushi place and order a house chicken roll for me and miso soup for the kid I'm babysitting. It comes out to $10.62. I give $11 and the lady was like I'm not taking this. She was referring to the $10. She didnt tell me what was wrong and I was confused and finally she was like it's not real. I'm like okay so I'm about to pull about my debit card and shes just staring at me looking very judgmental so I was like forget it. I shouldn't have to be ask if I want water after already waiting 30+ mins on water. When everyone else was just being given it on a hot day. I shouldn't have to deal with waiting for 40+mins just to pay for my food, which I wanted to take home with me ( mind you this is sushi) I shouldnt have to do almost 2 hours worth of waiting when everyone else is being better served and in a more timely manner. Then when I bring this up before I can tell you I still want my food you stack everything on my plate. When I tell you about the poor time management you decide to pass the blame to your new staff member and then follow it up with you were busy.... yea we saw people come and people go not the staff however. So when I ask for a discount for the wait you tell me no to the amount I bring up then change it to I will take off the beers, we ordered 3 beers, we also bring up that they took away food I wanted to take with me. They said she would have fresh ones made.... not to be trusted I realize. They chose to take off only 2 of the beers and then lie about making new food and give me the same food that she just stacked dirty dishes on. That is the last time I will go the nasty staff and...

Dropped by for a quick dinner one evening and walked away very satisfied and happy with the meal. The place itself isn’t much to look at but the staff was super nice and accommodating and looked like a spot that locals frequent. We started off with a kani salad which was delicious - just enough mayo and light. We followed it up with yellowtail scallion roll which was very fresh, the spicy tuna roll which was absolutely incredible (one of the best I’ve had so far), the Philadelphia roll and the winter roll which was also really good - the fish was tasty and fresh and the sauce wasn’t overwhelming.
