Excellent food and great service. On my first visit, I ordered a lamb kati roll ($6) and it was ready in about five minutes. In that time, I read all the newspaper images on the cart, so I was expecting something amazing — and that's what I got. The roll had seasoned, succulent, tender lamb and fresh vegetables in roti. The wrap was so full that it didn't stay closed, so I ended up eating it all with a fork. It was so good that I went back a few days later and got a lamb rice platter ($12). I was surprised the vendor remembered me because we didn't speak much on my first visit. Even though it was 3 a.m., he got me chatting. Between the friendliness and the food, I'm sure this place has lots of return customers. Anyway, the food — wonderful smells erupted when I opened the box. The meat was grilled but stayed tender and juicy. The sauce coated the vegetables but it was easy to mix it into the rice and lamb. It was phenomenal. This cart is great for lunch or dinner or to satisfy a late-night/early-morning craving.

Nestled among the usual fast-food spots, this hidden gem has become our favorite destination for gyros. The food here stands out for its lightness and balanced flavors, far from the typical spice-heavy, masala-laden gyros you often find. Each bite is a burst of authentic flavor, with a special touch that sets it apart – my wife and I are particularly obsessed with the secret dressing, which adds a unique twist to every meal. What we love most is how the food leaves you satisfied without the typical heaviness or food coma that often follows fast food. Instead, it’s refreshing and energizing – perfect for those who want something delicious but not overbearing. The experience is made even better by the charismatic and chatty Naseer Bhai, the proud Bangladeshi owner. He runs the place with the warmth of a neighborhood eatery, making everyone feel welcome while sharing stories with his customers. His passion for both the food and his culture shines through in every aspect.

A gem in the corner of Ave of America's and 45th street. The very best lamb period. I will be bold and say this: the taste of the lamb shrugs off any other cart by miles. The gentleman making the food is one of the most hygienic person I have seen running a cart. The lamb is not traditional gyro style lamb. They are small juicy pieces of lamb that has been marinated with spices and seared to perfection. The white sauce it comes it isn't traditional either. The white sauce is actually raita, the Indian varsion of white sauce that is made with quality yogurt. My wife who does not like lamb was regretting not ordering it after she had a bite from me. I hated driving to Manhattan from queens but this place made me go there couple of times since I had it ones and now I drive from Philadelphia to get this food. The tastiest food you will spend your $10 for.

I was in NYC for 1 week. I wish I was kidding, but gyros have always given me stomach aches until I had some at a friend's request when we came to visit. I was surprised, and our 3rd gyro trip was here. Y'all. That was weeks ago and I still think about the lamb pita I had here ONCE. It was so good, and messy but in the right ways. For my texture/tactile folk, get a fork and some napkins. Ngl, my friend and I went to a nearby park to devour these and the pigeons loved how much I dropped because I'm a weenie when it comes to touching sauces sometimes. Did I lick the sauce off my fingers? Yes. Was I uncomfortable with the mess? Maybe a little. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I think this is the truest of food carts, someone who loves the food they make, enjoys seeing people enjoy it at an affordable cost, and gets to go home to their family on their own dime and set time. What a beautiful thing. My friend and I wanted to come back a couple hours after trying this place, but sadly time did not work out. When I come back to NYC I'm 500% having this place again. Also, I got a side of falafel - and it was the best falafel I had my whole week there. Small, maybe, but in taste, no. I implore you, try the lamb pita (and if you're a spice person, accept the...

idk what these past reviews are have been seeing to give it a full 5 stars but it is not the same as it once was, not even close. the food truck recently got a C vendor grade in May 2024 (you have to mess up really bad to get this grade), so be careful of eating here from now on first and foremost...

Secondly, the person that served my order (chicken over rice) gave me a plastic spoon portion of white sauce at the corner of the platter when I had clearly asked for a 'lot of white sauce', and I had to ask him a second time to add more before he started trying to charge me for the food; this has never happened to me anywhere else in NYC when ordering Chicken Over Rice. As if that was not bad enough, the chicken on its own ended up being way too salty and not even the white sauce could help. Basically was only able to eat the rice/salad with the white sauce for the rest of the meal. For one of the few times I actually tried to look for a cart by making specific trip via Google Maps, this was by far the most disappointing and honestly a waste of money/time. Will never...

This is as good as semi-traditional street meat gets. Non traditional would be your korean taco truck, lobster truck, or schnitzel truck for example. This is traditional in the sense that it is mostly meats over rice. Kwik's differentiation is his level of sophistication in the meats. My favorite is the lamb. It is real whole chunks of lamb. Name any other street meat cart and their lamb is the meatloaf version horizontally roasting on a spit. Kwik's lamb is cooked perfectly, juicy, great flavor... it has the robust taste of lamb shoulder chops, but none of the fat. His white sauce is divine, surely made with whole milk yogurt among other secret ingredients and his hot sauce is fairly mild, but packs flavor and saltiness.

If you go here for the first time, get the lamb over rice. If you go here a second time, get the chicken over rice (significantly different than traditional chicken over rice). If you go here a third time, get the jumbo shrimp over rice.... yes, he serves fresh not-over-cooked shrimp in...
