This was the worst brunch experience of my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. If you are reading this, mark my words: do not come, cancel your reservation.
Upon arrival for Brunch, we were led across the wettest floor which caused every individual in my party to slip — one individual actually fell on the way to the bathroom. We were then met by an extremely aggressive server who started us off with the dirtiest glasses of mimosa and water I have ever seen. The cups were dull with what appeared to be lip residue and pepper flakes stuck to the glasses. Additionally, our server tried to add extra to our bill by lying and saying that the bottomless drinks would only work with the purchase of an appetizer (it says purchase of entrée on the menu) and then proceeded to recommend $14 guacamole and chips. After realizing this, I immediately tried to change it to the Chips and Salsa ($7 cheaper) and tried to alert our server as he was not even 2 steps away and not even 30 seconds had passed. After asking him to change the order from guac and chips to salsa and chips, he caught the biggest attitude and lied to my face saying that he “already sent it to the kitchen” and “it can’t be changed”? Seriously? Where do they do that at? I asked him to change it in disbelief because that was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life.
After this request, his already terrible attitude changed to even worse and he literally stopped coming around our table. Before that, however, Chips and Salsa arrived at the table. After not even the third dip, we realized that a long strand of hair was in the salsa. We immediately notified our server (when we could flag him down since he was avoiding us) and asked for a replacement chips and salsa to which he replied, “where is the hair”…??? I said 🤨 “on the floor???” as I had removed it and dropped it like any normal person would do. We finally got the replacement appetizer after about 10 minutes (chips and salsa ≠ 10 minutes, but okay). Meanwhile, confused servers kept bringing dirty glasses of drink orders and food that they had no idea went where.
As mentioned before, an individual in our party literally slipped on the wet floor and fell on the way to the bathroom. Our bottomless timer was running out because our server never came back to our table, but concurrently no one wanted to drink cause of the filthy glasses. He was rude and dismissive and the food was mid. Really nothing to write home about (truly). All in all a terrible experience and I will never be back.
The manager did try and save the day by offering us complimentary shots…literally as we were about to leave. She was nice, but the damage had already been done. If I could give this place 0...
Read moreWe had dinner here before a Broadway show last night. We were placed in what I originally thought was one of the best tables in the place - next to a window on the second floor - however, the table next to us was an extremely large, loud group who seemed to be "camped out" with a number of small children who were treating the restaurant like their personal playground. The kids were sitting at our table when we arrived, playing with a remote controlled car. Their mother called them over so that we could be seated and that was the last attempt at controlling their behavior made for the rest of the night. During the meal, the children continued to walk over and sit on the booth essentially leaning against my friend, drive cars along the floor that went under and bumped into our table, and run through the restaurant. The adults at the table next to us had what appeared to be an extension cord charging a portable speaker and at one point during our meal they turned on their own music and began to sing. They gave no indication that they saw or cared what their children were doing. For her part, our waitress saw my face when she came over to check on us and partially addressed the situation without my having to actually say anything (the children, while still running everywhere, stopped physically sitting at our table, and they shut off their music). I'm not sure if these people knew someone who worked there or were just particularly difficult guests (none of their wait staff seemed overly thrilled with their presence), but they definitely made our experience here significantly worse than it otherwise would have been, given the food and demeanor of the staff was otherwise excellent. Ordinarily I'd still give five stars as it isn't the fault of the waitress if they have a difficult table nearby. I'm removing some because at 6:40, when we were paying for our meal (and needed to leave as the show began at 7), she mentioned that the manager was offering a free dessert as compensation. While appreciated, I have to assume that a restaurant located literal blocks from most large theaters knows that a lot of their pre-7pm reservations are headed out early on purpose. Offering to comp something we had already eaten would've been lovely, or even just coming over yourself to apologize, rather than sending the waitress with an offer you know we'll likely have to refuse. We settled on a high tip for her and a fair review...
Read moreI went here with the ladies for cinco de mayo. We were seated on the second level since the 1st was filled. The music was great. It was a complete vibe in there. It was loud but not loud that you can't have a conversation.
The food was good I felt like the birria needed some more flavor. The corn tasted great and was very juicy. The flavor was on point. My sister loved her Mole Enchilada. It had a sweet flavor to it.
I was not happy with my waitress. My sisters placed an order for corn. I told the waitress if I like theirs, I would like to order some. I followed up with for now I'll take the birria. The corn was delivered. Then my sister's food was delivered. The girl's waited to eat. They didn't want to start without me. We kept waiting and finally the waitress showed up. She asked how everything was and I told her I'm waiting for my food. She followed up with she didn't know I wanted to order. I decided not to order the corn being that she never placed my dinner order. I reordered my food. When my food came out the girls food was lukewarm (being that they waited).
On to the drinks. When we first sat at the table we ordered 2 prickly pear Margaritas and a Strawberry Mojito. The prickly pear margaritas were great! My sister unfortunately didn't receive the strawberry mojito and only received a regular mojito. She said it tasted good so didn't bother mentioning it to the non-existent waitress.
When my dinner arrived I wanted to order another margarita, but as stated above, the waitress never came back. We asked someone for our bill paid it and then realized my sister was charged for a strawberry mojito that she didn't receive.
I don't want to fully judge our waitress for her being so MIA. It was cinco de mayo so I can understand how busy it gets. It sucks that it happened but we still did enjoy ourselves and the girls...
