I suggest changing the name to Sriracha Sandwich with Mystery Meat. Questioning how taking a mediocre hoagie roll, tossing in some sort of meat (supposedly pork), sprinkling 3-4 strings of carrot and then drenching it in Sriracha sauce qualifies as Bahn Mi. I have had Bahn Mi in many places around the world some good, some not... this easily qualifies as the worst. From the mysterious overcooked indistinguishable meat, to the total lack of vegetables... the only thing that was passable on this sandwich was the bread and that’s pretty sad. The only question is whether you would even call it Bahn Mi. Would not recommend this place based on our experience.

Wow, the food here is amazing ! I’ve ordered here three times in a month. No matter what I always get the vietnamese spring rolls they are so tasty & you eat it the authentic way (roll a piece of lettuce & shredded carrots & noodles around it) & then dip it in that delicious sauce, I could eat 10 of these. I usually get the chicken salad & the chicken tastes amazing, everything that comes in the salad pairs so well together. Today I decided to get the steak salad & it was very good but slightly too spicy for me even though I do enjoy spicy food. I can’t wait to try other items on the menu

Ordered the lunch special with pork banh mi and kimchi fries. The bread of the banh mi was not good. Usually the baguette is lighter and very crunchy on the outside. This one is basically like a poor quality regular sub roll very soft. You could get much better banh mis in Chinatown for cheaper! The kimchi fries were ok but the serving seems small and very little kimchi. It took awhile to get my order even though there was one one other customer before me. Banh mi and fries shouldn't take more than a few minutes to prepare.

I first visited this place soon after it opened and yesterday returned for lunch with a friend. We shared two appetisers, spiced calamari and salt and pepper shrimp. Then I had beef pho, while my friend went for the vegetarian version.

The appetisers were delicious and flavourful; the calamari a little on the spicy side but not excessively, just the way I like it. A large complimentary glass of ice water, promptly refilled by a friendly waitress, came in handy.

The portions were HUGE. The appetisers practically filled us but we had no choice but to 'suffer' through our phos. These arrived sizzling hot and were ENORMOUS. Mine had a generous helping of beef slices floating on top of a bowlful of noodles. Sprouts, mint leaves (fresh and plentiful), lime and delicious sauce (a combination of two kinds) arrived on the side. The stock (oxtail) was rich in flavour and structure.

As a carnivore, I am sceptical of vegetarian dishes but my friend convinced me to taste the vegetable broth. It was heavenly: rich, flavourful, buttery and, at the same time, light. Tofu slices looked very appetising and I will try this version next time.

Regrettably, neither of us could finish all the noodles but we will when we come again for dinner!

There was one more pleasant surprise in store: the bill was only about $37 with tax!

This place is a great value. The food is delicious and the portions are huge.

My only regret is that I live and work too far away to come...

Rudeness and condescension served with a smile. Food not bad, or outstanding. Today my favorite soup was placed upside down in take out bag 🙄. After too many long waits when I was the only client in the establishment, one day I badly needed to -- excuse my language-- pee after a long day, as I had in the past. I was refused the bathroom-- which is illegal for dine in Note: I wear gloves and n95 masks, unlike most of their careless employees -- no masks at all, which kept me away until off hours, 1 maybe 2 employees. I have always contributed to their "college fund" but received no answer when asked details about it. Oh well, I'll go to the farther Thai place around E 103 -- food is gourmet, so much better -- as is the warmth and appreciation of staff. Lovely conversations, and if necessary, a spotless restroom -- which I avoid if at all possible [covid] -- I'm handicapped and high risk. Stayed inside for 4 months. Not coming out for mediocre food and poor -- fake Is the operative word ...

I ordered from La Viet Cafe for a large corporate order tonight to feed about 60 guests. I ordered tofu summer rolls and bahn mi sandwiches (chicken, pork and fish).

First of all, service was warm and hospitable. When they delivered the food, they took the time to show me how they labeled everything for our convenience. They even wrapped the summer rolls extra securely so that they didn't dry out before the event. The kitchen was also mindful of allergens and preferences, taking the time to separate out the peanuts and extra spicy peppers. It seemed like the delivery employees really cared about the quality of the service and food. Moreover, they were showed up early and came with serving utensils. Courteous and friendly throughout.

The food was such a hit with the group. The fish and pork sandwiches went very quickly and the chicken was delicious as well. Everyone snacked on the tofu rolls as well. I'd definitely recommend this place...
