Update: response to the cafe ownerâs comment on my reviewââ I merely wrote about my experience and I love supporting local businesses. Contrary to your perception, I want your cafe to succeed. Furthermore, I write without bias and give credit to those who deserve it. However, it seems you scold guests with less than perfect reviews, which contradicts your appreciation for constructive criticism. Isnât that nonsensical?
I do believe in change. Some places I once disliked improved and now Iâm a loyal patron. I will take your suggestion and not come back since itâs obvious youâre close minded to improvements and take offense at imperfect reviews. Perhaps, in retrospect, I might have been met with the same reaction if I had told you my comments directly or had asked for a refund. Anyway, I wish you luck and hope that peopleâs honest reviews would inspire you to improve your cafe; leading to its success.
Original reviewâ- I ordered a cinnamon muffin and Fancy pants latte. What I got was a muffin which was overloaded with cinnamon. It had parts that were overpowering and spicy, but mostly the base was bitter; reminiscent of blackstrap molasses. The only good thing about the muffin was the contrast of texture with sugar topping.
The Fancy Pants Latte was a disappointment. It was drinkable, but it didnât look and taste like a latte; more like an americano...

Better Version Have you ever wondered what your happiest memories taste like? Do you want to bite into food that makes you feel like a unicorn just kissed you gently on the forehead? Have you been in search of a chef whose talents are so otherworldly that you consider proposing to her?
In a neighborhood overwhelmed by restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops, Little Chef Little Cafe is a clear stand-out. The staff is friendly and kind, and the owner (Diana) is equally as amazing. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and Diana constantly finds new and creative combinations of flavors that I would never have imagined trying (but am always so glad that I did). As an example, have you ever had ube bread pudding? No? Then apologize to your tastebuds for how you've treated them and then visit Little Chef Little Cafe to have some ube bread pudding and prepare to taste life in a whole new ubeway.
Note: while my wife tells me I am not allowed to propose to Diana, I am more than happy to continue drinking her delicious coffee and eating my weight in muffins and bread...
Read moreLittle Chef Little Cafe is a gem in the neighborhood! Chef Diana and her team served free meals during the pandemic and has been so supportive of other businesses here in LIC. Everyone on her team is so friendly and kind! The adobo rice bowl and waffle sandwiches are amazingâyou canât go wrong with either the chicken or pork options! Just the right balance of flavors with the pickles and garlic rice. The pumpkin spice latte in my opinion is the best Iâve ever hadânot too sweet but with yummy warming spices. Today I had the kale chickpea soup, which was new to me, and it was soooooo goodâthe subtle coconut milk flavor, mildly spicy, and chock full of yummy vegetables. My husband ordered it for lunch, and then I had to immediately order another bowl to have at home for dinner. Thanks for making our neighborhood a friendlier and more welcoming place to be! Weâre...
