As a boba fanatic, I'm so happy this place opened in the heart of LIC!! It's super cute, a 5 min walk from ALL the subways, and the tea is deLICious! 😄
TEA I've tried the bubble milk tea, mango fruit tea, pineapple fruit tea, Avocado Fruit tea, and Fresh Lemon Green tea and all of them are quali-TEA 😜. The classic bubble milk tea is always a winner, but also their fruit teas come in slushie form and you can tell by the taste that they are made with FRESH fruit. I didn't expect that at first and was pleasantly surprised. If you like green tea, I highly recommend the Lemon Green tea - it's one of my faves. You have the option to get cheese foam on your fresh fruit tea. I personally don't like cheese so I opt out, but my boyfriend got it with the Oreo Milk tea and said he really liked it! He described it as a heavy creamy cheese foam. I think it's supposed to slowly seep down into your drink unless you drink it really fast like he did 😂
PRICE Drinks start at $5 and go up for the fruit/cheese foam teas. It may seem a little pricy at first, but once you taste it & see the quality of their tea and cups/caps (they kind of seem reusable), the price is totally justified. They don't use powder like most places and are generous with their fresh fruit so you can tell they care about quality here.
SERVICE - the absolute best! 💯 They just opened so they're working out their new-business-kinks but you can tell they really care about giving you the best service. The business owners around here in LIC are so friendly and down to earth and this place is no different so they fit right in with the LIC-community-vibe. Love it 🌟
EXTRAS They have a cute Instagrammable sign #doitforthegram & a sequin covered column that you can draw on while you wait. It's probably for kids but not gonna lie, I drew on it because it's cute and fun and why the heck not.
The creme brulee milk tea and one of the parfaits are next on my list to try, but I will definitely be frequenting the milk teas & fresh fruit teas. I didn't capture pics of all my teas but included some here.
Hope this review...
Read moreYo…wtf is going on here? I’ve literally given this place 5 tries, twice solo and three times with my girl. We loved the Mango Pomelo from the Flushing location but figured this was much closer. First time, it was so bland, the toppings were “off.” We thought it might be supply issue, so we shrugged it. 2 more times within 4 months, mango pomelos, ALL WERE JIPPED ON INGREDIENTS. Yo if I’m paying nearly $10 for a Mango Pomelo, it better have at LEAST mangos…no pomelo…they used the cheaper sago bubbles (not the large poppy ones) I’m actually so upset rn…mango syrup sago level
TWO other Moge Tea locations literally said this one cheaps out on ingredients. It’s insane. Please if you love your money, spend it else where. THIS LOCATION DOES NOT REPRESENT THE REAL MOGE TEA FRANCHISE. BUYER BE AWARE.
EDIT: I respectfully decline your free drink. I finished the one on the photo while you assured me there’s pomelo. NOT ONE PULP TO PROVE IT. Literally no mangos…double lied. Lost confidence in you guys to even get the make-up drink right. Integrity is gone. We both decide not to come back, but I wish you guys will continue to improve. All the best.
All said without ill will. More upset with myself because I was the one saying “give them another chance”…multiple times. And when we order, it’s not just one drink…it’ll be 2-4 drinks at a time…but for one thing, we know exactly how and what a mango pomelo should look and taste like. If two separate locations far from each other can make the drink right, you guys can too. Give your customers their money’s worth, especially their time to get to you. Happy July 4th. Enjoy time with family.
From the heart: No need for money pinching. Service first and everything you worry about will sort itself out. Be honest and genuine. Believe you are truly a good person and your actions will follow. Believe in yourself. Anything...
Read moreI have had Moge Tea Uji Matcha Crème Brûlée Milk tea several times in Forest Hills and Sunnyside and absolutely loved it.
Unfortunately, this one in LIC gave it to me tasting SOUR. I realized as I was walking with it that it might be either the milk was expired or the crème brûlée. I was going to an interview and did not have time to go back so I just threw it out. I thought of asking for a refund or told them but I felt bad since I was already having a hard time asking the employee questions about the menu (we were having a hard time understanding each other)
I don’t want to get this employee in trouble or fired. But THIS IS A HEALTH HAZARD! If you’re in the food business, you should make sure not to get people sick from expired stuff.
I was so excited as I just moved to LIC and saw it was about 15 min. walk from my house. It was also a very cute and promising looking branch. I really hope this was a one-off mistake and the staff and manager can check all their ingredients for expiry dates (but also just smell the ingredients to see if they’re still good?). I know sometimes milk and cream can expire sooner than its actual date once you open it.
Again, if management reads this I don’t want to get the employee in trouble but please for the sake of your customers triple check expiry dates.
I would say I want to try again next time but I’m scared now since I have a very sensitive...
