Crescent Barbershop — Local services in New York

DO NOT GO HERE. The guy at the front as you enter the store is a professional fool. I show him a picture of what I want and I end up with a very short haircut with no proper fade on the side.

If you want a very basic haircut, they can do it, but nothing more. He barely took 15 mins and very little attention to detail and no shape up on the sides.

I’m in LIC and I didn’t feel like going to King of Queens in Astoria, which is great and I’m going to make the trip up next time. Overrated rip-off places that charge $50 like Otis and Finn aren’t worth it either.

*Response to owner: you are correct about the sides but I DID NOT ASK YOU TO CUT MY HAIR THAT SHORT ON THE TOP. I have no length on the top to style it and it will take 3 MONTHS MINIMUM to grow back. Whatever you do, avoid the older guy.

I had him cut my hair twice. I thought the first time I didn't communicate well (although I showed him a 360 video of exactly what I want), so I gave him another chance. Second time, he gave me worst cut of my life.

I should have known he's terrible by the fact that when I walked in the second time, there were five or six people in line waiting for the other two barbers and he was just chilling on his phone.

He may be a nice guy, but knows nothing about cutting hair.

Both times, he finished the cut under 5 minutes and left me a lot of uneven spots. It's not just bad, but it's hilariously had.

Just take my word and save yourself from wearing a hat until your hair...

I have been going to Eddie and his barbershop since he opened almost 2 years ago. They have been fantastic and consistent in their service levels, and I feel like they have found the sweet spot of meeting the modern needs with an old school touch of a barbershop experience. Yesterday was a special occasion, that I had to share with the public. Eddie and crew surprised me by providing the Midas touch experience. He used the “ golden wireless trimmer”, which I have never seen there before. We joked that that this was to celebrate my patronage and going on a trip out of state.
