The N/W transfers easily to the 7 across the platform if you are headed to manhattan. Take the stairs if you need to do a switch back. Sometimes trains aren't running and you have to get a shuttle from the street - the buses are not directly below...just follow the crowds. From here you can also take the 7 one stop to get to the G and access Brooklyn without going into and then out...
