In the bustling landscape of Long Island City real estate, where every building competes for attention and patronage, there are unsung heroes whose contributions often go unnoticed, such as the Leasing Director. Yet, in the case of Tower 28, Mariam shines like a beacon of excellence, illuminating the path to unparalleled resident satisfaction and community engagement. The residents of Tower 28 celebrate the remarkable efforts and profound impact she has on transforming Tower 28 into not just a place of residence, but a vibrant community brimming with vitality and warmth.
At the heart of any successful residential establishment lies its ability to attract and retain tenants. This crucial task falls squarely on the shoulders of the Leasing Director, and at Tower 28, Heatherwood has been exceptionally fortunate to have Mariam steering this ship of leasing success.
From the moment tenants’ step through the doors of Tower 28, they are greeted by Mariam's infectious enthusiasm and genuine warmth. It's not just about signing leases; it's about forging connections and understanding the unique needs and desires of each individual or family seeking to make Tower 28 their home. But perhaps Mariam's most remarkable quality is her tireless advocacy for tenant satisfaction. Long after the ink has dried on the lease agreements, Mariam remains a steadfast ally for tenants, always ready to lend a listening ear and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Her proactive approach to tenant relations has fostered a sense of community and belonging that sets Tower 28 apart from the competition.
Mariam is more than just a Leasing Director, she is a catalyst for happiness, a guardian of trust, and a beacon of excellence in the world of real estate. Her contributions to Tower 28 cannot be overstated, I am eternally grateful for her unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership.
In an era where amenities are the hallmark of luxury living, the role of the Amenities Director takes on an increasingly critical role. Fortunately for residents of Tower 28, we have been blessed with the extraordinary talents of Mariam, whose creative vision and unwavering commitment to excellence have transformed this building into a haven of leisure and relaxation. From the moment residents’ step into the state-of-the-art fitness center or lounge by the sparkling rooftop, they are enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and indulgence, thanks in large part to the tireless efforts of Mariam. But it's not just about providing amenities, it's about curating experiences that resonate with residents on a deeply personal level.
One of Mariam's greatest strengths is her ability to anticipate the evolving needs and desires of a diverse resident community. Whether it's organizing a wine tasting event for residents, or hosting family-friendly events for parents and children alike, Mariam possesses an uncanny intuition for creating experiences that bring residents together and foster a sense of camaraderie and belonging.
Moreover, Mariam is a master of the art of innovation, constantly seeking out new and exciting ways to elevate the resident experience to new heights. Whether it's introducing cutting-edge fitness equipment to our gym or partnering with local businesses to showcase their work in our lobby, Mariam is always pushing the boundaries of what is possible, ensuring that Tower 28 remains at the forefront of luxury living.
But perhaps Mariam's greatest legacy lies in the sense of community they have helped to cultivate within our building. Through her tireless efforts to organize events and activities that bring residents together, Mariam has transformed Tower 28 into more than just a place to live – it's a vibrant and dynamic community where friendships are forged, memories are made, and residents truly feel like...
Read morePOSITIVE REVIEWS OF THE BUILDING AND SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS WERE ENCOURAGED BY WAY OF A $250 GIFTCARD DRAWING.
I have opted to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation by Heatherwood whose universal response depends on citing legal provisions and contractual language. A special thanks to Andres, Max, Jazz, Tasha, Vick (Vittorio), Raquel/Rocky and Jose. These are the only people in the building who make living here bearable, none of whom are management. I can attribute none of this gratitude to those who sit in the leasing office or out in Commack Long Island who instead specialize in providing generic or legalized responses to people’s complaints.
At first glance, appearance wise the building is quite nice. I assume most people with positive reviews are new to luxury buildings or simply want to live in a luxury building as opposed to EXPERIENCING A LUXURY BUILDING. There is a caveat or exception to nearly every feature or aspect of the building ranking the building well below par in my opinion. The only saving grace is the existence of employees several of whom have either left or been terminated for reasons I can only assume are the fault of Heatherwood based on their track record with regard to attentiveness to tenant needs and the below overview of the building.
Amenities are beautiful from an aesthetic viewpoint but most features are inoperable. Recently installed I front of windows facing the Empire State Building was an obtrusive disgusting metal cable for the window washer that never seems to come. We were told the cable is permanent in nature and required, however nothing was provided showing this was a requirement. How do you pay $5000 a month for a city view only to have metal cables hanging uncentered outside your window. (See attached photo) At least one of two front lobby doors or the revolving door is usually broken. As a solution, the building puts caution tape or orange cones for days if not weeks at a time. You know, to give that nice luxury feel. Go to the package room and either expect a long line to pickup your packages, or find the building having a single person perform triple duty manning the front desk, sorting packages, and checking packages in and out. Even better, when there is nobody to assist, there is a nice post it note that says “scream hey.” Again, great examples of luxury. In the gym, most of the treadmills and elliptical are disconnected from the barely existent WiFi, the Bluetooth doesn’t work or simply the machine screens are stuck at the home screen. The Hulu Netflix Fios features on the screen are pointless and nearly for advertising sake only. In the lounges, the entertainment consoles are all locked so you are unable to play or change music in each room. You have to track down a building associate to change anything. In the elevators, the rationale is that the more people who can fit in a single elevator the better. If 10 people request an elevator from 10 different floors, a single elevator will handle it all while the other three remain on standby. An exaggeration perhaps but you get the point. Not to mention the elevator memory in one elevator can only remember four floors before resetting and in the other elevator the numbers don’t even display once pressed. In the theatre there is excessive glare from large ceiling lights that remove the possibility of enjoying a movie. Month and months after the initial complaint and still no solution. The last excuse was that the dimmer switch could...

I had initially given Heatherwood Management a 1-star review due to a lost check situation that had left me frustrated. However, I am pleased to update my review to 4 stars based on their professional and prompt handling of the issue.
Upon discovering the lost check, I was pleasantly surprised by Heatherwood Management's proactive approach. They swiftly initiated an investigation and even considered ordering security footage to aid in resolving the matter. This level of diligence and dedication to finding a solution truly impressed me.
The solution they ultimately presented left me satisfied and relieved. It's evident that they take matters like these seriously, and their commitment to resolving it swiftly was impeccable. While the initial hiccup was disappointing, their subsequent actions have restored my confidence in their management. I appreciate their efforts and willingness to go the extra mile. Kudos to Heatherwood Management for turning a negative experience into a positive one.
I had an absolutely horrendous experience living at Tower 28 in Long Island City. On my last day of living there, I entrusted the front desk with $200 to be given to the cleaners for the next day's cleaning. Little did I know, this simple task turned into a nightmare that highlighted the complete lack of security and trustworthiness of the front desk staff.
When the cleaners arrived, the front desk attendant had said they couldn't find my envelope that was supposed to be securely stored away. They called the front desk person I gave the envelope to from the previous day, and they claimed they had put it in a drawer, but this seemed more like an excuse to cover up their negligence or, worse, someone's dishonesty. The fact that someone within the building could easily pickpocket $200 from a tenant is beyond unacceptable and paints a disheartening picture of the kind of people they employ.
I immediately rushed back to Long Island City from the City to to talk to the doorman, who promised to pass on my information to management. However, it has been two long and infuriating days, and I haven't heard a single word from them. This level of disregard and indifference towards their residents' concerns is appalling.
Trusting the front desk to handle basic tasks like delivering money to the cleaners should be a normal routine, but the lack of accountability and security in this building makes it impossible to do so. If you value your peace of mind and want to ensure your security, I strongly urge you to reconsider living in this building.
My experience at Tower 28 has left me feeling violated, taken advantage of, and completely disillusioned with their management and staff. The fact that they allow such incidents to occur without taking immediate action shows a complete disregard for their residents' well-being.
In conclusion, I caution anyone considering living at Tower 28 to think twice before putting your trust and security in the hands of this establishment. Your hard-earned money and personal belongings are at risk, and it's clear that Tower 28 does not take the safety and concerns of its residents seriously. Look elsewhere for a place that values its residents and ensures their security...
