Shhhhh, I think we have found a hidden gem! We are staying in NYC for a month, and wandered into this little neighborhood café, thanks to a google search. It is small, and incredibly relaxed & friendly. Thomás and Oscar make you feel like family while you are here. We first went for lunch, and had wonderful sandwiches and fresh salads. We returned for dinner, and were quite surprised by the upscale menu choices, accompanied by very affordable prices. More than that, the dishes were wonderfully creative, and delicious! They have lots of outdoor seating, enough for large-ish groups, but also have very intimate tables for two, it would be a great date-night spot, without breaking the bank. I have found my Niche for dining in Manhattan!!! I love this place .. tonight fantastic South American music and the best food .. I ate a perfectly prepared steak with grilled spinach and green salad .. a lovely warm, dark red wine and a very cute cheese cake and blueberry for desert.. for this "hard to please non-foodi" it's a winner .. the staff are the best...
