There’s something mysterious (in a good way) about the rice rolls. Consciously I thought it was only good, at first… and then I began to appreciate the texture, which felt… almost fluid? It was so soft! But I still thought it was at most quite good, not Life-Changing… until 30 seconds later… my box was empty! What HAPPENED?! It was all very confusing. I suspect there was something magical at work subconsciously.
The sweet tofu dessert 豆花 tasted pure ☺️ The soybean drink 豆漿 was so good, not too sweet, very generous portion—it came not in a cup but in one of those plastic take-out tubs with tops that seal.
The grass jelly 仙草 was only ok (said both my conscious and subconscious), wasn’t the most flavorful or delicate in texture. (Then again, I have abnormally high standards for grass jelly.) The green/mung bean sticky rice 綠豆粽子 was...
Read moreWe missed the M9 and decided to hustle over a block for rice rolls over at Sun Hing Lung Ho Fun Tofu - and we’re so glad we did. Only in Chinatown can you get so much good food for 4 people (we only have 3 but one is a teen!) for less than $20! We ordered the dried shrimp rice roll (yummy and has fresh green onion!!!), fresh shrimp rice roll, beef rice roll, pork rice roll, fresh tofu, and decided to try the jelly they had stacked on a table (it’s jello that comes with a sweet sauce to pour on top) and the grand total was less than $20! This isn’t Cheung Fun Noodles but the variety and kindness of the nice woman at the window made this just as great! Definitely a must go for rice rolls if you’re shopping at the grocery...

Amazingly cheap (around $2.50) in this inflation economy and the people are so nice. Can’t go wrong with any order, but the char siu (roast pork) one is my favorite. Selection of 3 sauces you can put on yourself: sweet soy sauce, creamy peanut butter sauce, and sriracha. Everything is made fresh here and you should also get the doh jurn (soy milk) - it goes hand-in-hand with the rice rolls. Usually a queue in the mornings as it’s popular for breakfast...
