I almost never write a review for anything, However I'd have to say not only do they have the worst customer service at the cashier, On multiple and seperate ocassions, They seem to close very early and refuse to complete simple requests. There was a time where they refused to make coffee for us late at night and said it was closed, I understood and continued to order something else. However, the next person of a different colored skin was quick to ask for the same thing and they were more than happy to make fresh coffee for them. I don't know if it was a race issue or if they knew the person. I could be wrong, but on the outside, they promote 24 hours via drive through and this is not the case, if it differs, than please change it. There was another incident in which we were left waiting for our order longer than 20 minutes, I understand that it was rush hour, however we went to the counter multiple times to ask and noticed people that came after us go their orders, to which we were given attitude and the Manager at the time was screaming at the person who was on what seemed to be a floor walk. I apologize, I know that my grammar is far from perfect, I am just a frustrated person and question the management of this spot in specific. It doesn't seem like people seem to care who runs behind the cashier considering the low amount of reviews they have. Absolutely terrible service for a job that isn't really that difficult on the surface.
Updating my review once more, I called to find out when they closed and a man picked up the phone and with attitude told me they closed at 1AM and they lock the doors at 12:30 AM. However, I had called around 12:15 AM because I had someone outside trying to get a quick order in. If anything, Google needs to be updated to say they close at 1AM and not 4AM. Considering they have a sign on the outside that states they are open 24 hours (drive thru) which is understandable. I'm not trying to be picky but the fact on how it was handled and the fact that i was HUNG UP on is just disgusting as a customer and poorly handled.

Read moreMcDonald's Elmhurst, Queens Boulevard. Look, it's McDonal's, so there is a certain expectation - good or bad - with this brand. I have had exceptional service, food, atmosphere, and CLEANLINESS with the McDonald's Elmhurst. While I may have thought McDonald's was "special" as a child, I have found the food inedible as an adult, save for this location, and an order of various blended coffee, smoothie, and Happy Meal products. It's a new construction MODERN LOOKING McDonald's.
I visited this location during the morning rush hour, and have never had more than a 4 minute wait. I liked that I could order at the Kiosk, which offers a large, vertical display, and infographic (pictures) descriptions of the products. The User Interface on the Kiosk is stellar.
The service has been wonderful too, as the employees are content people that know how to interact with customers, and seem to enjoy (as much as one could) their career. Employees have been friendly to children, going the extra mile to engage with them, and a few employees have complemented / said nice things, or greeted me positively.
The bathroom is cleaned regularly, at about 0800, and is exceptionally clean. There was not a stray piece of toilet paper on the ground, and it was well - stocked with toilet paper, and hand soap.
There is an indoor play area at this location, and children seem friendly, and seem to have responsible parents.
There is a drive - through, and large private parking lot, where there are many open, well - landscaped areas to park near, and I've never had to "fight" to get a spot. EASY.

Read moreI ordered through the McDonalds app where it said the ice cream and soft serve were available and set the order to be picked up in the restaurant. However, upon arrival (we got there around 12 am and it supposedly closed at 1 am), the doors were locked and when the worker notices that we were trying to get inside, she just shooed us away and pointed to the drive through. This was just a super lazy move by her and we couldn’t even ask for a reason or name as she was just sitting down and didn’t seem bothered enough. We switched the order to be picked up at the drive through and when we arrived at the window, we were told that the ice cream machine wasn’t working. They then told us to dispute the charge the charge with our bank over and order since they were too lazy and inadequate to mark the ice cream option as unavailable on the McDonalds app.
Easily the worst customer service I’ve ever seen and a clear lack of work ethic from both employees that we interacted with while we were there. I would not recommend coming here even if it was the last place to get food on Earth since there is a good chance they won’t have it anyways.
Redemption story: we tried calling McDonalds customer service to get our refund and they simply said that their manager will get to us. They sent an email with their “sincere” apology. Yes, thanks for the automated response “Pam” from McDonalds. BTW the refund was still not returned to us like the thieves they are.
I hope they cry into their stacks of cash that they stole from broke patrons like me after reading this review. Other McDonalds...
