UPDATE: Okay, no more being fooled by claims of "unlimited" this or that...it's like Subway's air-sandwiches all over again, where they really don't want to give you what they advertise and then argue with you like you're begging for spare change on the streets! So I left the moron with two useless salads half-made that he'd have to eat himself since I ain't buyin' no more and they can't be sold to someone else...never understood why these grubby lil' cheap-skates think it's a good idea arguing with a customer....Nice deal on DIY-type salads: one meat, one cheese, and unlimited "toppings" -- additional veggies besides the "base" romaine lettuces...plus an egg, if you want, for seven bucks! That's pretty good, especially for this gentrifyin' nabe...hope the rent doesn't go up on them as affordable salads that can actually begin to fill you up (unless you're some ninety-pound hipster -- in which case bread and water should do!) in this area nicely complement the dollar slices and two-buck dogs...now I'm a repeat customer and will check out what...
Read moreI was in a hotel nearby andI ate breakfast here 3 days in a row, and unfortunately had a very bad stomach on the 3rd day. I asked for my breakfast so the server took it from the dishes on display and heated it up (kinda flash fried) for a minute on the hot plate. But he'd forgotten the burger patty. When I asked if I could get the patty too, he just took it straight from the dish and put it on my plate without heating it. I knew then it was suspect, but ate it anyway, and by lunchtime I was uncomfortable, and by dinner time I was in agony (I didn't eat anything else after breakfast). Similar happened to me a year ago when I last visited but I didn't realise it was due to this place.
They need to sort out the heating of food, be more careful how long the breakfast items are left out, and be much stricter with hygiene, because otherwise it's a nice deli with places to sit that is very handy for breakfast. Especially for travellers...
Read moreThis is a new spot. Went in and place is big. Noticed a variety of food. Some dishes didn't have names. Some didn't look appetizing or fresh. But i went ahead and served myself some mini cheese ravioli, some roast chicken breast, a pc. of fried fish, some plantains, and some Chinese fried rice. The plantains were a bit dry, the rice was greasy and didn't taste fully cooked. Everything else was good. My son, 8 y.o. who eats everything had mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, a spring roll, lo mein, no meat. All his food was yummy. This buffet has cold salads, fruit salads, breads. Very expensive. I spent $25 including 2 can of soda! (McDonalds was our 1st option) Plenty of table area to sit. They have a hot/cold sandwich section An Asian station for meals on the spot. Also a smoothie and juice bar. Large variety of cold drinks and snack section. Also ATM inside.I saw a sign for breakfast buffet. Will try out next...
