The fact that store has to respond soooo much to this review clearly means something…. Putting blame on customer clearly shows something…. I booked one day in advance but cake was not ready when I went for pick up. They could not find where the cake was. Asked for writing a name on the cake, staff wrote the wrong name. This place is a joke. DO NOT RECOMMEND UPDATE: Adding to that! The staff was NOT wearing gloves when writing on cake. Her hand TOUCHED cream on the cake and LIED in front of 3 customers saying she did not touch the cream when cream spot was on her hand! She touched cash and is now touching food without any sanitation measure. What an amazing food safety measure this store is following! If pointing to your staff and showing her on her hand where the cream is called grab, then I have no comment. FOLLOWING UP ON STORE OWNERS REPLY: Your staff went over the rack to find my order with no luck. Luckily for you guys, there was a cake available which was the same as the one I ordered. If that cake was not present, what will you give me? All other cakes that were pre-ordered were properly wrapped in box, why mine was not? Because you guys did not do it right. The staff wrote Happy Birthday in front of me WITHOUT WEARING gloves. Feel very concerned for food safety and sanity. And guess what, we threw that dirty cake. Thank you so much for a memorable birthday! And a...
Read moreMia's still has thee best Blackout Cake in New York. This is a small spot that they opened up in Time Square. Now of course you hear Time Square and you think, I can't go there, there's no parking. Well here's the thing... Mia's so happens to be sitting in front of a taxi rest stop and a valet parket spot for a hotel. Now it's not legal to park there but I've been to this location at least 10 times. Only once did I not get a spot to park and do a quick run in. So this is what I suggest, try Mia's cakes which are phenomenal and so many chose from. According to my wife, they also have thee best cheesecake. Yes, better than Juniors but rivals that of that diner on Linden Boulevard near the Conduit. Don't remember the name. Maybe it's called the Linden Diner. Nonetheless, once you know what you love and they have alot to choose from... And if Brooklyn is out of your way (and I do prefer the Brooklyn location), just order the cake you want, with the Time Square location as your pick up spot (especially if you live in New Jersey). Give them a call, make sure your order is ready. Let them know that you are driving and will be running in to grab the cake and get out of there. The ladies there are beautiful and helpful. They understand how crazy Manhattan is. You can jump out your vehicle, grab that cake and be on your way in less than one minute and...
Read moreTreats were good. But If I can give minus star for the service I would. Me, my husband and my child wante to get something sweet very quickly. So we went to get 3 macaroons and we ate it in the store, the bakery was EMPTY. And while biting my dessert standing in the store, I just wanted to take a look at all the cakes and other desserts as well. The worker that was working that day she was black and young , she was beyond rude and I found it very disrespectful. She asked me with an attitude, “excuse maam are you gonna purchase anything else?” And I replied, “no I’m sorry I’m just looking at these other desserts”. She then replied, “oh no you can’t stay in here, you have to eat that outside”. If the store were packed, I can understand that. But the store was empty!!!! You can go ahead and check the camera for last Saturday the 19 of October. And it’s not like I went there to just look and didn’t purchase anything. It’s ridiculous how she treated customers that way, no hospitality whatsoever. Note to the owner: please pay attention to your employees and make sure get employees with great hospitality...
