I am absolutely amazed at how terrible the service here has been. We have been coming to this bagel shop for years and have never had an issue until today. We were charged for a bottle of water WE BROUGHT FROM HOME!!! The bottle was room temperature since it was from our house, not cold like those in their fridge, so I would love to know how in the few minutes we were in the store the "stolen" water went from fridge temperature to room temp. We never even went near the fridge, just there for the bagel and the water was more than half finished because we had it before we came into the store! My partner has been going to this store since he was in middle school and has lived in Middle Village all his life. It's absolutely ridiculous to assume that the water was taken from their store when all of this information contradicts their statement. Check your security cameras, change your cashier or give them better training because this was one of the most ridiculous interactions I have ever had at a store. Next time this happens I am leaving my water bottle there and they can keep the free water because the money I spent on it at the supermarket is much less than what they charge at their store. The whole reason we brought our own water from home on a hot day was to stay hydrated and not have to spend restaurant/shop prices for the same product!!! After years of coming here, we will no longer be giving Middle Village Bagels our business. Good luck to anyone else who goes to...

Visited Middle Village Bagels around 11am this morning, my 1st time. It took forever to place my order: a toasted everything bagel, cream cheese, lox, red onions, and capers. My check somehow came to over $17, way more than I’ve ever paid. Then I noticed a “service fee” on my receipt??? I asked the cashier and he said it’s automatic unless you pay with cash. SUPER SNEAKY!!! I paid with cash and it still cost me $16.60, that’s $5.50 more than I usually pay for the same exact bagel at A and S Bagels in Franklin Square. So I’m waiting and the guy before me gets his order. He sits down, unwraps it, brings it back, say it’s not his. The cashier says it’s mine. I look at him like, okay, so now what? Does he expect me to eat a bagel someone else touched??? What is he nuts? Then a second cashier says I’ll make you another if you like. OF COURSE, you’d better believe you’re making me another!!! More waiting. I finally get my order and leave. Once home, I open it and discover they forgot to toast my bagel. Plus, it was not nearly as big or tasty as what I usually get. What a lousy experience. I can’t recommend anything. RIDICULOUSLY...

Wow.. I truly loved this place but its changed so much. Every weekend my husband and I would grab breakfast. We loved their food but recently been noticing how the portion has decreased so much. Had half of bacon and I mean one half strip not even full in my BEC. Thought it’s okay will try again. Different say try the pastrami and also get half one strip of pastrami. Decided to try something different get the fried chicken special sandwich and the bread was so hard I got a headache from all the chewing. The chicken was half of the size of the entire bread I was eating roasted peppers mostly. The cheese was not even melted. Ordered french toast for my child, it was so badly burnt and found egg shells in the toasts had to discard. The everything bagel is so salty after the first two bites I thought it was a one time thing till I noticed it was always like that. This is so sad because on their IG page the portions look huge maybe for customers like me to fall for it but vs reality you would be truly upset. So disappointed. Imagine being pregnant, craving middle village bagels, then just being so let down by every...

First time here, I always like to start out with the basics and judge a location based off of that. I got a classic bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. Disappointed in it, roll was hard, cheese wasn’t even melted correctly, and bacon flavor was okay. I’m really not one to complain, but also $9.25 for this …. yeah, no. As a staple NY breakfast, at a location with this reputation, the quality should have been better — ESPECIALLY at $9.25! Sheesh, probably the most expensive BEC I’ve bought at a bagel/deli spot. I don’t mind high prices, but you gotta come correct with a banging sandwich and unfortunately they did not meet my standards. Presentation was nice, neatly wrapped, customer service was friendly, and sandwich came out quick. No complaints there.

Best bagel spot in the RP/FH/MV area. There are many bagel spots around Forest Hills, Rego, and Middle V., this place takes the cake. The bagels are fluffy and thick. If not toasted, the tear away easy. If toasted, they're crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. I got a BEC. Eggs were fluffy and well cooked. Not runny or dry and flimsy like other spots. The bacon was crispy and well cooked. At many bagel spots bacon is cooked in advance and left to stay warm but not here. The bacon is fresh and crispy unlike most places where the bacon tastes cold. Cheese was cheese. Overall will come back and try no more things. 10/10

Went on a packed Saturday morning. I regret getting coffee beforehand because their iced coffee on tap looked delicious definitely will try that next time. Got a bacon egg and cheddar with an extra egg it was a good just wish my bagel was toasted a little more. My partner got a veggie cream cheese with bacon on an egg everything I looked kinda skimpy. Overall if you want a bagel or breakfast that’s good I highly recommend this place. My meal was 5 but since my partner complain about his I definitely agreed they could have been a little more generous I’m deducting one star but I would go back.
