Good food, good service. What more could one ask for in a new establishment? Definitely give this place a try. I just realized my review was posted from a different account, so I just wanted to submit another. They are located on Eliot next to Andrew's pizzeria and across the street from Met foods supermarket. It is small but comfortable. I didn't check if there was a restroom, but I'll check for you all next time unless someone has already checked it! **Update: They definitely have a bathroom and it is really nice. Single stall but fitting for a small establishment. I shared a photo for you all to reference.
Reasonably priced with a large selection. Their chicken teriyaki seems to come in a sizzling platter too. The hibachi fried rice was good (they made it into a heart shape (please see photos from my other review), their udon, and their tempura entree was a big portion! Will definitely try more of their foods and recommend to other friends and family.
Update: their lunch special seem to have decreased in the quantity of rice from going both days this weekend. Maybe it had to do with who served that day, but the previous day it was neatly shaped into a square which built on the aesthetic of the dish entirely.
Update 2: I tried their sushi again and although it tastes good-- I think I'll stick to their kitchen food instead. I can't vouch for it, maybe it was...
Read moreOh, wow. Where to begin? Tip of the hat to sushi chef Jay. You can tell a lot about a sushi place from their a la carte options, and this place does sushi justice. The surf clam is on-point. The salmon skin handroll has a crunch to it that I don't find in many sushi eateries. Most restaurants either have bland, soggy rolls or oversauce the hell out of the handroll. Not this place. If you're a local and a fan of sushi, you need to check this place out. I highly recommend the miso soup, which was rich with flavor. Need to know what the soup base / broth was used, because it has a distinct taste I normally don't find in other places, and it definitely did not disappoint. Since my brother is a local (he literally lives down the block) I'm going to visit him more often, if only to go another round at My Sushi. Yes, it only has a few tables, but it only adds to its cozy, at-home atmosphere. I might try the exclusive handrolls they have on the menu next time I visit. My initial stay was pleasant, waitstaff was attentive and friendly, and my food came at a decent pace, unlike some places where you wait hours for your food. If you love sushi, this place can't be beat. The prices are reasonable, the ingredients are fresh, and the people there...
Read moreI came to this place because was close to my facial place and had 4.7 stars. This place is clean and cozy only 6 tables. They give tick fresh cuts of fish. I would have been pretty happy if I only got sashimi. I got the snow white roll and the sushi deluxe (they even let me switch the tuna roll it comes with to a salmon one free of charge). The sushi deluxe came with miso soup that tastes like miso flavored water. At first taste the snow white roll was great, I switched over to the sushi and realized the sushi rice is not seasoned or VERY lightly seasoned and dense. The soy sauce is also very light, I felt like used more soy sauce then I usually do for the amount of sushi. Going back to the snow white roll, they used to he same bland rice but fortunately the spicy scallop in it was very flavorful. So disappointing when the fish itself and...
