The Village Saloon — Restaurant in New York

I AM A REGULAR AT THE SALOON , I WANTED TO HAVE A SURPRISE 30TH BIRTHDAY FOR MY SON AND LET ME JUST SAY THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST CHOICE I MADE TO HAVE IT AT THE VILLAGE SALOON, THE OWNER JUNE IS JUST SO WELCOMING AND HELPFUL, FROM START TO FINISH, THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL ALEX, MELLISSA CAROLINE , MARY ETC , ALWAYS FRIENDLY WITH A GREAT ATTITUDE, MY SONS BIRTHDAY WAS AMAZING , CHARMING ATMOSPHERE, AND YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN DECORATIONS, AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS, EVERYONE WAS COMFORTABLE ,AND ENJOYED VERY MUCH, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE VILLAGE SALOON FOR YOUR NEXT FAMILY OR FRIENDS GATHERING, AS WELL AS JUST A FEW DRINKS OR DINNER , THANK YOU JUNE,...

I had seen this bar from the bus and I saved it on my google map. I'm so glad I checked it out. I didn't have any food, as a matter of fact I wasn't even offered a menu, which is fine, I could've asked for one. It's a neighborhood bar but the bartender, Caroline, was very welcoming. It is a quaint style bar with dining available. I had the fish and chips. I was not impressed. I ordered that based on other recommendations and was disappointed. Service was good. My order was taken fairly quickly, food was prompt, and the bill came when requested. The atmosphere is what is to be expected from a bar trying to double as a restaurant.
