Don't cross them, inadvertently, by any means. They're the only ones who sell RIRIs, and this is a fact they bank on. They will turn on you so quickly from saccharine sweet to gestapo mean so quick, it'll make your head spin! Once believed to be selling fakes on Amazon, an investigation was thwarted by new employees and the firing of the others. The RIRIs were such garbage that YKK looked fancy. If they forget something in your order, if you have something break, if you have any problems, you'll be treated like a personal insult. I'm not sure when it became ok to be so crappy with customer service, but Pacific Trimming isn't alone in this. When I was a kid, I was suspended and almost fired from McDonald's for giving a woman attitude over extra mayo. She wanted a whole vat of it! I was a bit rude and rolled my eyes. That cost me over $100 in pay. I quickly learned that the customer is always right, even they're wrong. I also learned that it's better to be kind: you catch bees with honey, not with vinegar. Kindness kills and you get in what you put out. The company is Asian-owned. I know my people, as I'm Korean. The culture is different than American, and what they view as a normal reply will be very rude to most westerners. I'm going to give them that much leeway, though I shouldn't, as we're in America. I know my people don't want to part with their money, and will do anything to save a buck. This is what's wrong with PT. When an order is wrong, they will avoid paying to replace it. When something breaks, they'll blame you and do whatever it takes to keep from taking the hit financially. You'll be shamed, spoken to as if they no longer know who you are, want you to spend inordinate amounts of time proving your claim over a $20 item, and so on. Buyer,...
Read moreHowever odd, obscure, or long-ago discontinued the trim, button, zipper (you name it) maybe, this is the first place I look. Strongest categories: buckles, clip and snap-belt connectors for backpacks, vintage zippers, and a huge variety of very real looking (and feeling) faux furs. Beads, any style, opened strings or individual, either surprisingly inexpensive or "that takes a lot of work" and you are paying for it. Language barriers can be a problem if you aren't patient. (I'm not patient by nature, but know when to park it.) So my suggestion is? GET OVER THAT. Everyone who works there is polite and precise will give you a reasonably correct wait-time estimate if needed; either way, It's worth the wait. And don't hover and huff or nag. Have your questions ready. I use a translator app on the phone for specific details, because it's to get lost foraging if time allows. Or, if I need a little motivation. (THAT'S what I like second best about this store, I leave with ideas.) My number one is admiration is watching the exacting skill whenever a cutter (I don't think just anyone can cut) tears into a 3yard thick, 9yard long swathe of expensive silk or faux leather with 10" shears, with whiplash speed, never undercutting. I believe you get still get the old fashioned 1&½" of margin error material if you scr*w up. And razor sharp edges, phenomenal. It's a large place, so if you're on a deadline, make a list. (I think I've given 5 Stars fewer than ten times...as if that mattered. For me, it does.) Enjoy. Try not to tell too any beginners about it. Everyone should (again, IMO) e your way to play with the big kids, or you will have no one with whom to commiserate when you aren't met with...
Read moreDue to an emergency, I came to this store to buy trim and buy something for my friend. It says on the wall horse hair 25-50 yard wohle sale price 35% off. Two weeks ago, I also bought horse hair for my friend. The length is about 30 yrd and it is 35% off. Then today, the female cashier in front told me very rudely that it was not the case, with a very fierce expression, and kept glaring at the customer. She said that in fact, you can only get this discount if you buy a whole roll that has not been opened (all horse hair is 50yard for a whole roll - the female cashier), so what is the significance of posting this notice? Is the purpose of labeling 25-50 yards to deceive consumers? Since I bought something for my friend today, I can only temporarily accept the 10% discount the cashier gave me. However, the original student discount was 5% off, and I paid in cash today. The cashier was very rude and acted like the 10% was given to me because of this incident and I should be grateful. But in fact I should have enjoyed this discount. Then she told me that she could give me a refund if I didn't want it, but we came today because we were in urgent need of materials, and it was already very late, so we really had no place to buy materials, so we had no choice but to accept their deception. The female cashier said what's on the wall doesn't count, what she says does. (This female cashier seems to be the manager. I really don’t understand why such a rude person can be the manager). So everyone, please keep your eyes open and try to choose other stores or shop online...
