Drinks were not anything special, which is fine, but the service was really scammy and confusing. Out of a group of 4, one ordered and closed out at the bar after coming late and not having a waiter swing by the table for 15+ minutes. At the table, 3 of us had ordered one $18 drink each, but were each charged $32 before tip. When we asked to pay, the waiter included the fourth drink that had already been paid for at the bar, and clearly other things, because even if we had been charged for the 4 drinks split amongst three, it wouldâve been around $27 with tax each. When we pointed that he had accidentally included an extra drink as well as clearly something else, he just offered âchampagne on the houseâ but would not correct the bill (so the champagne was absolutely not on the house). It felt like a scam to get us to order way more than we wanted to, and really disappointed in the lack of resolution. When I pushed him on it, he took a 3 $5 bills out of his pocket and threw it on the table (which still does not make up for the $18 difference each). Truly disappointing since the bar is really cute â will not be...
Read moreMy colleagues and I (a group of about a dozen) stopped by this bar the night before Halloween after work â all in costume and just looking to have a fun, easy happy hour. From the start, the energy felt off. The staff seemed uninterested, and about halfway through the night, one of my friends noticed our bartender rolling her eyes at us for laughing and singing along to the music. Later, the manager came over to tell us to âkeep it down.â
That was pretty shocking, considering we were the largest group in the place â and itâs a small bar with music playing, open doors, and a lively atmosphere. It definitely wasnât the kind of environment where youâd expect to be told to quiet down for simply enjoying yourself.
Overall, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, which was disappointing since our company had actually hosted an event here before. If youâre just grabbing a quiet drink or going on a date, maybe this is your spot. But if youâre in a group or just trying to have a good time, Iâd recommend going...
Read moreCame here for an after work happy hour with a group of about 12 co-workers and were told we were being too loud. It was totally empty by the way when we walked in. About half of our group were people of color so definitely felt some racial profiling going on. Youâre a bar in the west village and canât handle some noise on a Thursday night??? Not only did we get a noise complaint but received some absolutely nasty looks from the bartender with the long blonde hair. I walk by this place everyday on my way to work, but at least now I know itâs not worth my time or money. Also, had the most disgusting dirty martini here with no olives?? Hire better...
