I placed a delivery order on Uber Eats and the driver never showed up and ignored all my attempts at contacting him. I reached out to the restaurant to inform them and they offered to take a loss on the food and remake and send my order over at no charge to me! I wanted to make sure to do right by them so I reached out to Uber for a refund then went on to place my order with Nonnas directly. Not only did the food arrive within 25 minutes of ordering, but they went out of their way by including two complimentary desserts and discounting the order so that the price was slightly cheaper than Uber Eats. This alone would’ve gotten a 5 star review for me, but I haven’t even gotten to the food yet! Their Penne Alla Vodka lunch special was the star of the show. The pasta was perfectly al dente with just the right amount of sauce and cheese, and the breaded chicken paired with it was juicy and flavorful. The Stella pie was fresh and light. We added prosciutto to it which gave it an extra layer of savoriness that really put it over the top for me. Can you ever really go wrong with prosciutto and arugula? Lastly the desserts they included were phenomenal! The chocolate cake was rich and moist with perfectly whipped mousse layers and a frosting that had me craving more with each bite. The Italian Cheesecake was superb and a had just the right texture to leave me thinking about it for days. I could go on and on about the service and food, but I think you’re better off experiencing it for yourself! We’ll definitely be adding Nonnas 1977 to our...
Read moreUpdated Review: I finally ate food from here and it was a mixed experience.
Pros: The Bomb Parm Hero is a great value for the price. Basically two heroes (for the cost of 2) but pretty flavorful and still good texture after delivery.
Cons: The Tiramisu. I don’t know where to start - charging $10 for a 3” x 3” slice of tiramisu is already a stretch but if it’s good flavor/quality then, okay sure. But this Tiramisu? Nope. I get that it’s supposed to be soaked but this was DRENCHED in alcohol so much that it gave me a migraine as soon as I opened the container and smelled it. It’s also suuuuuuper dense - not the typical density of any tiramisu I’ve ever eaten.
I wanted to like this place, I’ve heard some good things, but for the price and mixed quality? I’m not so sure.
——- Ordered my food at 5:55 - called for an update at 6:50 (due to arrive by 6:30) and was told it just left 5 mins prior. 7:30 I call for an update and I’m told the food is still there. Which - communication issues aside - is a massive issue re: food handling. My food had been sitting out for how long?
I’ve called twice to ensure it’s refunded/not delivered and was told they had to speak to a manager. It was just marked as “delivered” 20 mins ago yet no food and no refund.
This was my first interaction with them, and I understand it’s a busy Sunday, but I deserve a refund at the very least for food I...
Read moreThis spot is right on the corner and convienently located. They have some great pizza options and a big mix of topping selections - from individual slices to whole pies. Really enjoy the American Girl & Proud Mary, could eat that for days. However, dispassionately enough the issue here is with some of the workers who are rude, inattentive, and unsanitary. There have been multiple occasions of employees hanging around, on the phone, and shouting over the food without masks. They do not adhere to health and safety standards and are routinely seen touching their faces, cash bills, phones then immediatley back to handling food. Other than the cleanliness issue, I have had multiple issues with them on ordering and picking up. Often, instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, I was consistently ignored and lied to on how long I should anticipate waiting for my order. This has happened on multiple occasions, wasting over an hour of my time.
Pizza is good though ngl, there just needs to be some adjustments with respect to training, cleanliness protocol, Covid regulations and awareness of respecting others time. Hope they can make these adjustments so they can go back to being a recommendation, but as of...
