Upside Pizza — Restaurant in New York

The short, hispanic man working sunday night could not have been more rude. I asked very calmly for my pizza heated up to go. When he went to check me out, he was throwing the pizza in a bag which made no sense because I got 2 slices and it was going to end up smashed up. So, I politely asked for a box instead. The man acted as if I had personally wronged him with this simple request. He got angry, he told me to calm down (my voice was controlled and respectful, he was angry). Multiple other customers in the restaurant looked uncomfortable at the interaction because it made no sense. I tried to calm the situation and told him that I would not argue with him and that I simply needed a box. It was totally unprofessional. Nice stop in a cold Sunday. Small space, so probably better for a pickup. But small groups and individuals can get a nice break inside.

Pizza is excellent, spicy vodka is really nice, as is the pepperoni! Had three different slices, really hit the spot.

Service was refreshing, with good advice and with a positive spirit….thanks Diego (with tattoos, man is going to go far)!...

Feel bad for the staff, who are only working to earn a living. But this place has one fewer customer after today's visit. A mushroom slice and a spicy vodka slice cost $12.35. For real. That is outrageous. The place does not post prices so you only find out once they ring up the register. Having someone at the door mugging you on the way in would have at least...
