Their new location on 6th Ave was open for about 6 weeks before I went in on a Tuesday morning around 11:30. I walked in and the store was empty except for me. I saw 3 employees sitting in the center doing nothing but looking at a 4th person who was on the phone and perhaps was the manager.
Nobody said hello. Nobody stood up at ask if I needed help. Nobody cared enough to even try. I walked around and tried on frames. Each frame had a massive security device to stop theft. I couldn't even try on frames with this silver dollar sized device weighing it down.
I looked at each employee and now they gazed at their phones and the 4th was still on the phone.
If I could get the devices off, then I could see how the frames fit without being off balance but hey, Facebook during work is more important for them then being a retail sales person.
I picked out a 1200 dollar frame and lenses at my Opthamologist's office and ANYTHING cheaper would have been a quick easy sale. But horrible service means I walked out and could go to 40 other places within 10 minutes of 14th and 6th Ave. Oliver Peoples is stealing your market share for a good reason. YOUR FRAMES ARE PEDESTRIAN AT BEST and your customer service is nonexistent. You paid a fortune to design an amazing space and then staffed and stocked with lack luster products and people.
Call your interior decorator and get some advice on fashion-forward frames, which are unique. Then call a staffing agent and replace your team....or not. There are 15 other places within a couple blocks and 40...
Read moreNot normally one to leave reviews but today I feel compelled to do so. I walked into Moscot today to purchase glasses for my birthday and was warmly greeted and treated like family before I even made a purchase. I had my eye exam which I must say was one of the most thorough, pleasant exams I’ve ever had.
After my exam I was taken to a sales rep named Jose who took the time(at least an hour) showing me various frames in various colors, to assist me in picking the perfect frame design and color to suit my face and style. Not only was he extremely patient given how indecisive I am but he was funny, and personable. He shared stories of life experiences and really made my girlfriend and I feel welcome. Once I decided on my frames I asked if there was any way I’d be able to have them filled the same day. I drovee from New Jersey and it is/was my birthday so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. They got them filled the same day for me(small accommodations that make a huge difference in my view)
Hands down best retail experience I’ve ever had. You pay a little more money but having only Owned the frames for less than 24 hours I can tell you that they’ve earned a customer for life just based on the in store experience and friendliness of the staff. They really seem like they love where they work and that’s something rare, especially in today’s climate.
P.S. I love them so much I’m already looking to get another pair. They’re so effin’...
Read moreFirst off this Company is amazing. The quality of products is high and I am constantly being stopped by people to tell me I have some cool sunglasses on... little do they know that these are just my regular glasses with the sunglasses clipped on. I've purchased frames from this location for the past 5 years and I WILL NOT be going anywhere else any time soon. Shout out to my man Bart who has helped me in this location for at least the past 3 maybe even 4 years now. This gentleman and all of the people working at the Union Square location have been nothing but cordial, greeting me with a smile and even going so far as to remember my past purchases without even looking it up in the system. These are great people selling great products. You may pay a premium over some of the cheaper eyewear on the market but I can say with all honesty that with Moscot you get what you pay for... Quality, Care and peace of mind. The styles are also beyond a doubt some of the coolest out there. Am I a spokesperson for Moscot? No... Should I...
