They have lot of vegetarian options and you can make your own sandwich as well. We ordered their Sicilia panini that has tomatoes, artichokes and fresh mozzarella and we asked them to add little spice to it so they added picante sauce that made it taste perfect. Simple and fresh ingredients gave it the best flavors. We also got their vegetarian Italian sandwich that has sun-dried tomatoes, fresh ricotta cheese, parmigiano cheese and we got them to add the picante sauce. This sandwich hit the spot. The flavors were so good and the bread was nice and crusty. This was by far one of the closest sandwiches I have eaten in Usa when comparing it to the one from Italy.
We also got their pasta for my son that tasted very good, although I thought the quantity was less for the price I paid.
The tiramisu tasted ok, I thought the liquor was too strong but the cannoli was so good. It was made with fresh ricotta and the wafer had the right amount of sugar. It melted on our mouth.
As far as ambiance, it’s a small shop that has seatings available but nothing fancy. I would say it was upgraded version of a deli.
I am adding this place to my favorite list for Italian Paninis.
My personal rating (scale 1-5 with 5 being the best) Ambience: 3 Taste: 5 Service: 5 Overall rating: 4 Cost: $$$

Just stands over the register and stares with the female waitress as well as to say with there eyes we aren't welcomed , so i requested a refund and got out of there quickly , To My good black folks , dont support this place , they dont want our kind in there , & Im pretty sure they will reply with an apology but it wont be sincere , just warning you ! There are plenty of options , i dont recommend this treatment to any of my people 🙏...

I was roaming around NYC solo trying to find a mid-range but cosy restaurant. I came across Panineria by chance and it’s the best mistake of my day.
I ordered lentil soup (7/10) and goat cheese panini with caramelised onions (11/10) (hosts recommendation) and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was so crunchy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. It totally hit the spot and truly felt like a homemade dish.
The service is amazing! The host is so thoughtful and observant and was quick to fill up my water bottle and pick up empty dishes.
The ambience is authentic and down to earth, which creates a very intimate environment. I totally recommend it for solo travellers, students looking for low-budget meals, couples, really anyone who’s in the mood to slow down in the bustling city.
I’ll sure be coming back...
