Peck's — Restaurant in New York

at first i was excited about this place but in recent months it has become so average, at best. giving 2 stars for the 2 food items that i enjoy: the farmers muffin and the shakshuka sandwich. oh and the backyard patio is nice.

otherwise, overpriced and overrated all around - a large iced coffee that is bland AF is $5 and their specialty drinks are made sloppily and not mixed properly, not to mention those only come in one size.

the entire staff is cold and bothered all the time, they act like it’s a burden and an annoyance when you simply place your order. i was literally sighed at and get an eye roll. as a business owner just down the street, the quality of the service is so terrible it doesn’t make up for the food given how many other better places there are around. highly...

I love Pecks. They have an arsenal of fresh baked goods each morning from sandwiches to quiches to all the sweets you need. They serve made-to-order sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, including a basic bacon egg and cheese that is actually good because they actually use quality bacon, egg, cheese and bread. Great selection of beer and cider in the cans to go, the prepare a mean coffee (cold brew, espresso, lattemoccachinos... all that 😉) and, get this, they actually have a meat and cheese section and will slice you meats/cheeses like any other fancy meat and cheese shop. Rude customer service. I get intimidated easily and I told the girl I needed more time to order politely. No one was there. And she rolled her eyes. I don’t understand. This isn’t the first time a person has been rude either. I gave it another shot being that the first two encounters were the same person. This person was different but just as rude. I’m never coming here again. I was humiliated. I don’t expect a goodbye or a have a good day but out of habit I say it and she just say “mmm” and a dead face look. Yet when the next customer was white, she was like all hey and “have a wonderful day” despite the customer not even giving her the time of day. Whatever.
