This Popeye’s was thee most inefficiently run fast food establishment I have ever been to. I had placed my mobile order 15 minutes prior to my arrival and STILL waited another 15 minutes before I actually received it. None of the mobile orders (Seammless, Grubhub, app, etc) were being attended to until someone physically inquired after it. And even then, the clerk nonchalantly looked to see if any tickets were up but didn’t actually attempt to prepare any of the orders; like because it wasn’t her direct responsibility, she didn’t have to make our orders. Only until the manager was directly asked about our orders were they prepared. This completely made ordering in advance a mute point. It would have been faster if I had just ordered in person, and I would have been indoors for less time, unable to socially distance. By the time I got my order, the coffee I had just purchased next door was cold—that’s how long they took to fulfill my order. Worst of all, I didn’t even get an apology or explanation from the manager as to why our orders took such an excessive amount of time. Horrible experience from the minute I walked into the door! I will NOT be using the app ever again & will be discouraging others...
Read moreCustomer service was terrible. The young woman at the counter must not have had her listening ears on tonight at 9:17. She and her friend continued to talk while processing my order incorrectly. I asked if she had boneless wings and she replied ghost pepper. I said no” not boneless” wings honey BBQ Guess what she gives me. I go back to the window and ask for boneless, she says ok I don’t hear you say boneless all while checking her phone and talking. She checks the register and tells me I have to pay extra. I repeat 5 boneless wings honey BBQ.Not a problem except this time she gives me 12 boneless pieces and a biscuit. I gave it back and said, “I’m sorry this is not what I asked for. She responds “ ok you need your Money back we don’t have what you asked for. “No, I want what I asked for.” She walks off and the manager, mamoud, comes over where I proceed to let him know she’s should not be behind a register and that she needs retraining. She showed him no respect. What a poor display of customer service and respect. Really sad. The only reason I didn’t take her picture is because she’s clearly a first generation American, a minor and a terribly poor representation of this...
Read moreThe food here is great. Its a franchise, its pretty much the same as any standard Popeye's. However, there are a few things that bother me. First and foremost the lack of interest in the staffs demeanor and their interaction with customers.I never had an horrible encounter, some just rush you and get your requests wrong but I observed interaction with others. 125TH Street has an interesting and tough crowd. The customers are not easy to deal with but staff needs to remain professional and not also pay ATTENTION to the needs of the customers. For instance, there are many homeless people lounging around and trying to find shelter. The issue at hand is the smell. Not just the individuals but the bathroom that reeks of urine. Many times the customers would say hey "You guys should have someone check this out" and no response or no immediate response is given. That;s a direct turn off why would you want to purchase food there after your stomach is already disturbed. They need to maintain the space. They need to clean more often especially knowing a million people would walk through your doors at any given moment. Also a smile or two...
