Prospect Bar and Grill — Restaurant in New York

We had a birthday party for my wife this past weekend at prospect bar & grill and I don't know where to begin in describing how attentive and kind the staff were in taking care of us. I made a reservation for the event 3 weeks in advance and even from our first conversation, I got a good feeling from the staff. In the week/days coming up to the event, it became apparent it was going to rain for the weekend. When I brought this up with them, they said they'd take care of us no matter the weather, which is exactly what they did! They were so attentive to us for the many hours we were there, made sure no one was ever without a drink, helped me out with the birthday cake and were just overall so great. I really do recommend this place to anyone considering having a party but I'd also recommend it in general for some nice food...

Is your regular pub with nice drinks and good food.

Wife and I were in the area looking for lunch on a Sunday. Found this place and we're offered the brunch menu. Pretty standard. She asked for the burger I had the steak and eggs. Food was pretty good. The coffee was surprisingly delicious, especially for a pub. The beer selection was pretty decent.

As we were eating we started getting these really foul smells. First I thought it was the dude on the table next to us farting. But when it kept coming I thought it was impossible for anyone to fart that much so I asked the waitress about the smell (thinking the restroom had a leak... or maybe a gas leak from the kitchen??) I’ve loved this place since it opened a few years ago. I mostly come for the food, but the bar area looks great - spacious and clean and the right balance of casual and classy. The food is what keeps me coming back. The brunch is great - love the French toast. Dinner food is several steps above standard pub food. My wife loves the roast chicken, and I’ve enjoyed their burger. The fries are quite good as well. Their chicken finger appetizers with the sweet chili sauce are definitely kryptonite for my waistline too. Portions are great and I usually end up taking some home.
