When I first walked in, the first thing I noticed was how small and cozy the space was—actually a nice surprise. Fresh pizza was being brought out just as I arrived, so my timing was perfect. They had a good variety of options to choose from, and the location itself was ideal, nestled near several attractions and other activity spots. Overall, the place was in a great area for a quick stop.
The staff member I interacted with was polite and quick to respond whenever I had a question. The upstairs seating area was limited, with about 8 or 9 tables that each fit two people, which is a bonus compared to other pizza places in New York where seating can be scarce.
I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a Sicilian, and a bacon chicken ranch. I was pleasantly surprised by the bacon chicken ranch pizza; they added the ranch dressing after the pizza had cooled slightly, so it wasn’t hot, and the flavors were well-balanced. The Sicilian slice was cooked perfectly with a chewy base and a slight crunch. However, it was lacking a bit in flavor—more sauce and a few extra pepperonis would have taken it to the next level.
Overall, the pizzas were decent. They weren’t mind-blowing, but they weren’t disappointing either. A bit more sauce, oregano, and seasoning could really elevate this spot. I’d recommend this place for a quick bite or a casual lunch. For a hearty dinner, though, it might not be the best choice unless you have other plans lined up for the night. In general, it’s worth a try if you’re looking for good,...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. Horrendous customer service. Very rude young man at counter on an ego trip with a chip on his shoulder. I stood there for several minutes at the counter and finally yelled to see if anyone was there. He came downstairs from cleaning up the seating area and did not wash his hands or wear gloves before he served the food. I arrived at 8 pm, and they close at 10. He said the seating area was closed. I said that was ridiculous and he attacked me and said it wasn’t ridiculous and that he makes the rules and that I have to respect them and that he didn’t have to serve me. He said he has to get home, too. If you want to be home for 10, then don’t say you close at 10. So I stood up outside in the rain so he could get home early. The other customers in the shop watched the exchange in shock and disbelief. Pizza was nothing special. Pizza joints are a dime a dozen in NYC. I will never be back. Oh, and the restroom is “out of order.” (Yeah, I’m sure. They just don’t want to have to clean it because then they might not get home as early as they...
Read moreRadio City Pizza serves up some solid slices with variety and flair. I tried two different slices—one topped with mushrooms and another drizzled with BBQ sauce over chicken—and both were satisfying in their own right.
The BBQ chicken pizza was flavorful, with a sweet and tangy sauce that complemented the perfectly baked crust. The cheese was melty and balanced, creating a great combination with the smoky BBQ flavor. The mushroom slice, on the other hand, had earthy tones from the mushrooms and a light touch of ricotta, making for a creamy yet savory bite. The crust was thin and crispy on the bottom, holding up well under the toppings.
The garlic knots were a highlight as well—fresh, fluffy, and generously topped with garlic and herbs. They had just the right amount of butteriness, and paired nicely with the side of marinara sauce for dipping.
Overall, Radio City Pizza offers a great mix of traditional and creative options. If you're in the mood for pizza with a twist, or just want a classic slice with some garlic knots on the side, it’s definitely worth...
