Had a pretty terrible experience at Rocco's this past Saturday. I reserved a table to watch a big college football game at Noon, with the reservation starting at 11:30a - I was kicked out of the table at halftime.
In the week leading up to the game, I tried to contact the bar to ensure that my group would be able to watch the entire game comfortably. Not only does the bar not have a phone number, but it does not answer emails, so I wasn't able to communicate with anyone to confirm the details of my reservation.
I showed up to the bar for the reservation decked out in clothing to support my team for the game. I even had the waiter switch our table so that we would have a better view of the TV. At no point did a manager or waiter let me know that I wouldn't be able to stay at the table for the entire game.
At 1:45pm, our waiter told us we'd have to leave to accommodate their next reservation - this was the first time we were made aware of any time limitation for our reservation, so we asked to speak to the manager.
The manager couldn't care less about our situation - he was steadfast, rude, and unapologetic about the clear confusion. He threatened us on multiple occasions as we continued to calmly plead our case - we just wanted to watch the game that we had planned to, while continuing to spend money on food and drinks.
I will never go back to Rocco's - if you want to watch a game, there's no shortage of better bars in the...
Read moreThis is the most confusing review I've ever left. I also don't usually review. But after looking at other reviews I felt I should, because it wasn't just me. I made a reservation for NFL Sunday 1/21. Did I have fun with my friends, enjoy the music and the game? Yes. It's a good thing we had a table because it was packed. I decided to get there early so I didn't miss any of the game. I proceeded to get ignored at the bar for 30 minutes, after waiting 20 outside in the cold for crowd control. Yes, they were busy but I could also tell the bartenders were good at what they do and handling things. I watched him be accommodating to others and then make the choice to ignore me. When back up came to the bar, in the form of who I think was a manager, he gave me disdain vibes. I don't know how else to describe it. It was literally like "What do you want" he snached my card to charge me before even giving me my drink. Walked past me again later waiting at the host area to check about my table, looked me in the eye and kept walking. Not is everything ok, not did you need anything, no smile, just that disdain vibe. I was almost uncomfortable. But the hostess was nice, our server was good, as were the drinks and food. Again I had fun because I was with my friends and music was great. It was a fun crowd for the game. But I would never want to sit at that bar and am not sure if I...
Read moreWho has a private event during game 3 of the NBA Finals?? Absolutely moronic to turn NBA fans away for a bunch of people who aren’t event watching the game. Just say you don’t want our business next time.
When we finally got it in it took us 30 minutes to get a drink and we had no where to stand because, again, they cut off half the bar for a private event during the game.
If you want food and a drinks while watching the game, do not come here. Even if they let you in, they won’t serve you.
EDIT: I came back for Game 4 to see if it’d be more ideal. I got here at 6:40 for an 8:30 game. I sat at a high top table with no “reservation” card. At 7:30pm they told me to leave the table because they had a reservation. By now, the place had filled up and I had nowhere to stand or sit. So couldn’t eat, couldn’t order drinks, couldn’t watch the game.
DO NOT COME HERE!! THEY DO NOT WANT BUSINESS!! THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST SPORTS BAR IN THR CITY! They are rude, inconsiderate, and genuinely have no idea what they’re doing. Trash....
