I was visiting NYC and on June 27 walking around the green point area of Brooklyn and saw a craftsman coffee shop Paloma Coffee. I am not a regular daily coffee drink but occasionally enjoy a good quality cup of coffee. For the curiosity I ordered a fresh dripping coffee (Americano). With the first sip it I was so satisfied with the the flavor and taste. It doesn't have a typical French roast's smoky bitterness taste, but more subtle sweetness at the finish with stone fruit and a little peppery flavor. Then the pastry got my attention and I bought 2 pieces. It tasted amazing. At the end I bought 8 bag freshly roasted coffee from single to multiple origin with different source of the countries and flavors. The drinks: Reuben & co. are very knowledgeable when it comes to coffee and espresso. You’ll experience precisely made espresso drinks and a cornucopia of pour over options. The Palomita, their version of a cortado, hits the spot every time.
The eats: The chocolate babka is a must try - they usually sell this Thursday-Sunday. Be sure to go early to grab a slice. The hand pies are delicious too. Next time I want to try their Spanish tortilla, which also looks really tasty.
