Sac's Place - A Hidden Gem for Amazing Pizza and Family Vibes
If you're looking for an unforgettable pizza experience in NYC, Sac's Place is the spot to visit. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, family-oriented vibe that instantly makes you feel like you're part of something special. This place is more than a restaurant – it’s a home away from home, where the love for food and community is on full display. ❤️
Let’s start with the food. We had Mama’s Old Fashioned Pizza, and let me tell you, the flavor was absolutely out of this world – you can taste the authenticity in every bite. The Sicilian pizza was also a standout; hands down, this may truly be the best pizza in NYC. Bold claim? Maybe, but it’s well-deserved. Perfectly balanced crust, fresh, high-quality ingredients, and a sauce that feels like it’s been simmering for hours in a traditional Italian kitchen – just wow. 🤩
The prices are reasonable, which makes the experience even sweeter. It’s rare to find such exceptional pizza in NYC without breaking the bank. Add the cozy, warm décor and you’ve got a place that feels like the perfect balance between homey and special.
What truly sets Sac's Place apart is the incredible staff and service. Super attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make your time there memorable – they really go above and beyond to add to the experience.
Whether it’s a casual dinner with loved ones, a family event, or a birthday party, this gem is perfect for every occasion. Sac's Place is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of great food, community, and togetherness.

Read moreGREAT EXPERIENCE! I cannot say enough good things about the fantastic food, great service and beautiful design of Sac's place. If you are looking for a classy event space in Astoria or just a night out for dinner, we highly recommend Sacs. We recently held a private dinner event there for a baptism. Anthony, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He made the whole process for planning the event so easy and was super helpful. We had a group of around 40 people including some babies, everyone had a blast and were raving about the delicious food/attentive service. I had mentioned to Anthony that a few of our guest had some dietary restrictions and he personally updated each dish on our menu to be friendly for those guests AND personally took their orders. My friends said they have never felt so accommodated at a private event, and appreciated how attentive the service was. We all had a fantastic time. We will definitely be using Sacs for future events. They also have an option for valet parking which was a great perk.
Sacs Place would be a great choice for any party - rehearsal dinner, baptism, anniversary, baby shower... I especially like that the decor is beautiful so you really don't have to worry about putting up much for decorations (we used balloons and photos for the table). The tile work when you first walk in is beautiful and the bathrooms are granite with a stylish floral wallpaper (bathroom includes a tastefully placed changing table if you're looking for a party that is kid friendly, if you aren't then you won't even notice the changing table).
Lastly, the dessert...
Read moreSac's flies under the radar in the NYC pizza scene. Went in between lunch and dinner, and we were the only ones in the place aside from a few employees eating and maybe one other table. Service was nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. Atmosphere was ok, good for a pizzeria and I liked the glass room right on the street that wasn't overheated. We decided just to grab a large cheese pie to keep things basic, although it interesting to note that to add fresh garlic to a pie costs as much as adding shrimp for some dumb reason. The pizza looked great coming out, and tasted equally great. The mozzarella was defintiely homemade, and had a nice flavor; they layered it under and on top of the sauce, which was a nice touch. The crust had the characteristic char of a coal oven, and although I prefer it to be more well done, it also had a fluffiness at the edges. The sauce stood out very well and brought everything together as it was sweet and light, with a nice flavor of basil added. The basic toppings we asked for came out on little dishes which was a nice touch. The cheese was actually freshly grated romano which was a change of pace, and it matched the sweet sauce perfectly. The combination of all this combined into a great pie, one I would be willing to...
