Sam's Deli Xpress — Restaurant in New York

Came to this place pretty much every day since they opened because it was convenient. Since they remodelled, the guys working here have been deeply disrespectful. The young guy who manages the place and the woman who works nights are nice but the other men who work here are either openly hostile, refuse to serve, or act inappropriately to me and my other trans friends.

Yesterday, the older guy who worked here was being menacing—licking his lips, winking, and asking if I “like it big” repeatedly while fumbling with his zipper when I tried to buy a banana and some gatorade for my sick partner.

It really sucks when a place for everyday essentials feels so hostile. I won’t come here anymore and I highly encourage queer and trans folks stay away from this place. (also… the food is much better at most of the other...

They definitely overcharged me it was $15 for a Yerba mate (which had $4 price tag), 2 sour candies, and 2 sodas so buyer beware definitely ask them how much everything costs. I otherwise used to like this place but I don’t think I’ll ever go...
