Honestly?
This place looked really promising - we went to find an Irish pub in Woodside that wasn't overcrowded, bc we wanted to eat with friends during a Mets game (and the game wasn't why we were there, lol - so we were in the ultra minority on this day for Irish pub customers).
Great tables, great space. The people were nice.
I don't think they're really set up for food. :/ We spent $160 including tip for four people, for maybe a little more food than normal for dinner, but we were hungry. (We don't believe in deducting tip from the server for the store's issues.)
The food and drinks came out at totally random times - two people got their drinks within three minutes, a third came out ten minutes later, and the fourth five minutes after THAT. (The four drinks were ordered together.) One appetizer came out after ten minutes; the other came out ten minutes later; then we got two entrees five minutes later, then one entree soon after that, and then the final entree ten minutes after all THAT.
Then there was the food, which was... I guess barely passable if you were serving college students watching a game? We're foodies, but I swear to God, I never leave a negative review (I left one a few months ago about chicken that tasted like cardboard at a late night chicken place, because it was so bad and made me so sick - but I've left dozens of good reviews).
Here's what I can tell you: maybe the kitchen was having an off night, but at bougie-gastropub prices ($19 entrees, etc), it was bland and dry food, portions were normal-sized, all of our stomachs felt weird after and one of our party got sick.
Nothing was attempted to be taken off the bill. We kinda felt cheated by the whole experience.
The server seemed new, and the bartender was just working a big crowd by herself. No complaints there. But we don't have a lot of $ and we felt like we wasted it coming...

It bewilders me to encounter reviews that contradict my experiences, as I have consistently had nothing but delightful interactions here.
One aspect that sets this bar apart is their mastery of crafting Irish carbombs. Every time I've indulged in this classic concoction, it has been flawlessly executed. Furthermore, their pouring technique when it comes to serving Guinness is nothing short of perfection. Without fail, each pint is bestowed with a flawless pour, resulting in a velvety smoothness that delights the senses.
Beyond the bartenders and libations, the clientele I've encountered at this bar have always been affable and laid-back. It fosters an atmosphere of camaraderie and warmth, where strangers can easily strike up a conversation and forge connections. The overall ambiance contributes to a consistently great experience, ensuring that every visit is nothing short of memorable.
To sum it up, Sean Ogs has consistently provided me with exceptional experiences. The combination of friendly and attentive bartenders, their Irish carbombs, the flawlessly poured Guinness, and the welcoming clientele make it an unparalleled establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an enjoyable and...

I have been to Sean Og's a lot of times as it is closer to home and a cool place to hang out on a Friday evening. However, although the alcohol collection is good and food on the menu is delicious, the customer service really needs some work. It is super duper hard to get a staff member's attention, and when they do get to you, they listen to half of the stuff and run away. Most of the times you go there, they say there is a 20 min waiting and take your number down, but they never ever call; its literally like you forgot about it, because this has happened to me 4 times out of the 7 times I went there. And I know, pandemic has an effect on the quality of customer service, but I have had the exact same experience...
