ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I almost never leave a bad review on restaurants because I know it affects their business as well but I feel the need to do so for this place. If there was an option of leaving negative stars, I'd gladly do it.

The service is absolutely horrendous. I used to be a server as well and that is not how you treat customers.

The GUY with RECTANGULAR GLASS frame was our server

Me and my gf ordered same dish.

First of all, the server brought us two different orders.

When we asked him why it was different and i wanted MY order, he started giving me ridiculous rude excuses and slammed a pot of spicy sauce on the table to make the dish spicy. It was very disrespectful

Then, when i went in front of cashier to sort out the issue, same guy came and asked me to pay $14 extra if i wanted to get MY order.WHY SHOULD I????

Then another lady came in and resolved the issue by preparing the ordered dish for me.

Surprisingly, the dish was ready in less than a minute.(we waited for 10 min for our order) All they did was sprinkled some spices in there to make it look as if they made a new dish.

The only reason i didnt leave the place right there was because my girl was hungry and her dish was already served.

Not once did any server came up and asked us if everything was okay for us in the table the whole time we were eating food.

Obviously, we did not enjoy the experience at all. So, we decided to not leave any tips on the bill, for such a hectic service they provided us.

Whats worse, the same guy with the glasses came over to us as we were leaving, stared fighting with me for not leaving any tips and legit said, DON'T COME BACK HERE from next time. Why should I leave the gratuity if i didnt feel comfortable, and who are you to ask me how much i should spend MY MONEY.

Its new york city, you have tons of wonderful restaurants to choose from. Do these people think that this is the only place we can eat.

I've been living in nyc for over 6 years and this is the veryyyyy firstttt timeee I've been dis respected in the restaurant by a server.

Also for your information, I have filed a complaint for your rude behavior.

Enjoy rest...

Shimiaodao Noodle Shop in central Flushing is a true haven for noodle lovers. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of rich, simmering broth and the warm smiles of the staff. This authentic noodle shop serves up some of the best noodles I've ever had, and it's clear that each bowl is made with a deep respect for traditional cooking methods.

The noodles themselves are nothing short of amazing, perfectly cooked to achieve that ideal balance of chewiness and softness. You can tell that these noodles are made with care, from selecting the finest ingredients to the precise cooking techniques that lock in their incredible flavor. They soak up the hearty, flavorful broth beautifully, creating a dish that's both satisfying and delicious.

I had the Picked Pepper Sliced Beef Noodles and the Tomato with Sliced Beef Rice Noodles, and both were out of this world. The beef was tender and full of flavor, complementing the noodles perfectly. The variety of options on the menu is also impressive, catering to those who love to explore different tastes.

And don't even get me started on the appetisers, they're absolutely to die for. Each one is prepared with the same attention to detail, offering a burst of flavors that will leave you wanting more. The employees are kind and attentive, adding to the overall exceptional experience at Shimiaodao. If you’re in Flushing and looking for a place that truly understands how to make noodles...

CHINA (YUNNAN) 🇨🇳 Excerpt from Eat the World NYC: One of the benefits of all the younger generation Chinese money flowing into Flushing and other parts of the city is a wealth of options for regional cuisines. In large Chinese cities with hungry and affluent people, there is a desire to eat the foods from all around the vast country, where regional styles are wide. These hungers have of course traveled with the newest residents, and new, sleek restaurants seem to be popping up weekly to cater to them.

One of the biggest trends of the last few years is the cuisine from the southern province of Yunnan, and specifically the rice noodle soup known as "crossing the bridge noodle." This is the most famous dish from Yunnan and is known throughout China. There is some debate about the origins of the name and story behind these noodles, if you have a moment dig into this fun rabbit hole.

Served traditionally, a tray of ingredients comes out while the soup broth is heated up. Sliced meats of your choosing, pickled vegetables, lettuce, and a quail egg make up some of the items that will eventually make their way into the soup. In Yunnan, rice noodles are eaten almost exclusively as the southern climate supports this staple over northern grains. A bowl of hot cooked rice noodles is brought out just...

Dayum, this stuff was good. I didn't know what to expect because I've never had this style of food before. It's basically pre-designed hot pot and brought to you in a sizzling bowl that is large enough to share, if that is something you'd want to do. We ordered the vinegar black fungus and preserved egg with tofu. Both were great and spicy, due to hot @$$ chillies they put into the seasoning, which was completely unexpected. I got 1 of their 3 new dry bodies dishes, which I don't remember the name but was the one with the tripe & added beef to my order. My food was a 10; wife for the tomato hotpot, she gave it a 7; daughter had the rib, gave it a 8; sister had the chicken, 8. Service-wise, very attentive and friendly. Oh, extra rice noodles for your hot pot is free! My son fell asleep and offered to let him sleep on the last bench/table setup (who allows this?). High rating, good experience from me and hope you experience the same.
