I visited this Roti Shop on Liberty Avenue in Queens and I bought an order of black pudding. The man brought it out wrapped in a foil and said it was $12.99 a lb. Thinking it would be a good idea to buy it, I requested for them to put it in a tray and warm it up. I brought it home and to my dismay, I saw blood in the tray. It was clear to me that the beef black pudding wasn't fully cooked. I live in Chelsea Manhattan and I took a ride out there to buy some West Indian food. I was disappointed when I opened the tray and saw the blood. My sister told me I should've taken a picture of it and take it back, but the timing was to much for me to travel back and forth. My experience with the curry beef and white rice with dhal, wasn't that bad, it was tasty. Next time I visit Liberty Avenue in Queens, I will stop by and tell them how dissatisfy I was with the blood coming from the beef black pudding. Please be careful people and inspect the food carefully before leaving this restaurant. In response to the owner at Sonny'S Roti Shop, this is the correct restaurant I visited. Your address is 118-06 Liberty Avenue. Please accept that the beef black pudding wasn't fully cooked. Please see the...

This lady feigned ignorance as to who I was referring to. I explained it was to get an order of roti. The short of the matter was the person at the counter was rude to the point of disrepect,, when I indicated that there was no need to be rude. She then says she wasn't being rude. I turned to the woman who was waiting on her order. And asked. Did that sound rude to you. With her affirmation i then addressed the person at the counter explaining that based on that type of behavior I will purchase my 60 roti somewhere else.. customer service...
Read moreWe mostly go in for the breads and rolls, sometimes the chicken patties. I gave it 2 stars, not for the food but rather the customer service. I didn't feel "safe" in asking what certain dishes were as they're food name varies from what I'm accustomed to eating even from my West Indian/Hispanic upbringing. I love variation. I love all types of food but questions aren't welcomed and often times met with a look that makes you feel foolish and even insulted for asking. So now we don't buy anything besides the different breads cause although my husband is West Indian (Bajan), he's met with the...
