My boyfriend and I stumbled on this place just walking around W 38th St and it just looked so inviting on the outside. When you go in, it’s the same way. You’re immediately greeted by the staff, given a menu, and given suggestions and options for ordering. If you’re on the go and looking for something quick, they have sushi and more ready to pick up and buy. If you’re looking for a sit down meal, you can order from their very clear menu and get the food nice and hot. The space is huge and not super packed, which is great because most restaurants in this area either don’t have enough space for seating, or are extremely crowded and busy during lunch time. Let me start by saying that I have a gluten allergy. The menu was clearly marked with items that were gluten free, which was nice. Unfortunately, it was rather limited for a sushi place.

There is a Sushi Mix&Match box which has 3 rolls and a salad (the picture showed an avocado salad). When I asked if the salad was gluten free they told me that it was not. I asked, "even if I order without any dressing" and again i was told no by 2 employees. So I ordered 2 gluten free sushi rolls.

The rolls were fresh, but the rice and the avocados were hard. I noticed later on menu that steamed edamame is offered as a salad choice., which is most definitely free.

On a positive note, I did not have any issues with cross contamination. The staff was nice, but not very knowledgeable. The portions were good. But it was expensive, given...
