Hooray! SUSHI DAMO has returned and managed to reopen since their needed covid closure in mid March. Andy, their outstanding manager, sushi chefs and floor staff are back and ready to provide indoor dining, take-our plus delivery. Last night, my girlfriend and I were so fortunate to get a window table. Andy took our temperature upon entering and everything was done with done with 'safe distancing'. We started with their vegetable dumplings which were so delicious. Next a tuna sushi with avocado starter with a soy scallion sauce. Then, of course, we enjoyed several amazing specialty rolls from their menu. Being able to enjoy Sushi Damo once again brings hope to me, my friends and family--almost like an early Thanksgiving...especially as our daylight hours are getting shorter. Thanks Andy and Sushi Damo for your valiant reopening in our pandemic and the hope you provide to the Columbus Circle neighborhood!! Best wishes!

I enjoyed my evening at Sushi Damo. It's a quiet little restaurant just off Columbus Circle and hard to miss if you aren't looking. It's opposite Time Warner so before or after your show is an option. Damo is attached to the Redcork bar and I'm not sure if it's the same owners but connecting door allows you to walk between them both without going outside. Simple and elegant decor and pleasant staff. Our server was a bit forgetful but nothing to write about so to be honest I'm not sure why I included this but ah shucks let me stop. The mixed meal of sushi and sashimi was delicious and very filling. Would I be back? If I'm in the area yes. The End.

I came on Saturday, and the wait wasn’t too long, everyone was attentive and friendly. I assumed that the restaurant would serve sushi grade food, but I write this as I currently have diarrhea, vomiting, headache, stomach ache, and low grade fever. My mom warned me that the tuna inside the roll didn’t look right, but I brushed it off thinking it was all right, since they looked like they had certified sushi chefs, but perhaps not. Please beware

Great upscale sushi restaurant with an intimate quiet space to the right and an open loud space to the left. I prefer the quiet space as it creates a spatial change from vestibule to expansion to compression to finally expansion by the window seating area. It reminds one of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture. Where you enjoy the view to a modern zen-looking garden and Christmas lights. Tis the season! The bathroom threshold is a trip not to miss. You can even charge your phone if you need it. Enough of this design tangent :p.

The food is superb and quality overweighs price. Sushi is awesome, but I highly recommend the sea bass and grilled salmon main dishes. If you want to order chicken then make sure you order your sushi afterwards because the sushi is filled with flavour and will make you feel bad that you bought the chicken main dish. The complimentary tea and music is very relaxing coupled with adequate...

I had dinner last last evening, I was on a second date and really wanted to do something special since we are both love Sushi.

We sat down ordered some over-priced Sake and ordered the sushi and sashimi platter for two with some appetizers. The sushi and sashimi was served on a room temperature plate where the sushi went warm quickly. We ordered tea that was never delivered to the table, we finished the first bottle of Saki and a our waiter never came back to ask if we needed another. Not once during our entire meal deal she see how we were doing. I mentioned this when she delivered the check and she simply laughed. No kidding, laughed. No apologies, nothing! When we were leaving not even a thank you.

Not the best sushi in town, over priced for what it is, and the worse customer service I have experienced in a long time.

I will NEVER eat at...
