I've ate at Bareburger for years so I know when I'm receiving accurate quality items off their menu.
I walked into this location and ordered a milkshake with organic vanilla ice cream, organic milk, and organic strawberry at the bar. After I got the milkshake I had to speed walk to the train to get to my next destination asap, which is why I didn't notice how poorly and incorrectly the milkshake was made right away. Had I did I would have came right back and asked them to remake it.
Once I tried the milkshake I thought it tasted weird. I continued drinking it hoping it would get better. It did not. I finally realized they did not add the organic vanilla ice cream which is why it wasn't creamy or appetizing at all. It was straight up milk mixed with strawberries which is not what I paid nearly $12 for.
Like I said I have ate at Bareburger for years so that's how I also know they were supposed to add/drizzle the strawberry syrup inside the cup before pouring in the milkshake which they did not do either.
I'm really frustrated that I paid nearly $12 for milk mixed with strawberries which was really unappetizing that I threw it out. What a waste.
More importantly I suggest the manager at this location check in with their staff because I'm not sure where the mistake happened: either with the server not adding the organic vanilla ice cream to the order or the kitchen not adding it. However not adding the strawberry syrup inside the cup definitely falls on the kitchen.
I tried sending a message regarding this issue directly to Bareburger on their website under "Let's Get Chatting" but the message failed to send despite trying multiple times.
I would appreciate it if Bareburger corrects this mistake but when your website doesn't even allow your customers to get in touch to share their experiences with you there's not much I expect...
Read moreI don't know if there are not too many good burger places in NYC or whatever but I don't understand the hype/rave is all about. I recently moved to the city and I've been craving a good burger, like the ones I'm used to in Miami and a family member recommended this place.
Let's start.
Food: Average would be a fair description for the burgers we ate. I ordered the American burger and the meat AND THE BACON were very undercooked (which personally, I HATE) and the meat taste was very bland and meh. The bacon was crazy though you expect a nice crispy and crunchy and tasty bacon then you get a fatty undercooked piece of pig, I could almost hear it "oink" because of how raw it was.
It was not bad, just a very definitive and underwhelming "meh".
The fries were soggy, like they had been frosted and defrosted, which is not ideal either. However, the "special sauce" they gave me was good so there's that.
Service: very and friendly staff. It was VERY busy and full when we went (Saturday 3:30 pm) and they were running from one end to the other. You see them busy and taking care of things instead of idling, which is always a plus.
Wait time: TERRIBLE. The hostess told us it was 45 minutes for a table and we sat exactly 43 minutes later (I checked). This not the staff's fault, it's just a busy place and you should keep that in mind before you head over here without making a reservation or an online "check in".
Ambience: decent. Pretty cozy. Not much else to say about it to be honest.
I surveyed the other 4 people in my group about the burgers and the only 4 out of 5 I got was from my mom, who ate a Tai Chia...
Read moreMy review is specifically about the kitchen service. The food was decent and my server was the sweetest- hence my two stars, because my experience wasn’t good. I got there with two friends on 4th of July (2021) and we sat indoors. I ordered the mediterranean salad with no onions, and my friend ordered the Buffalo fried chicken with no lettuce. Both orders arrived with onions and lettuce, we informed the person that was serving us the food and he took it back. He came back after a half a minute with the same plates just without the onions and lettuce.. - they DID NOT REPLACE our orders but rather took those out of the dishes (literally I could see a piece of onion in the salad that they missed 🤦🏽♀️). Like ok I get it, it’s a waste but what if I have allergies? Be mindful- you cannot do that! So I complained to my server this time and she was super sweet, apologized about both dishes and tried to make it right this time. So they gave my friend a new sandwich, and gave me a new salad, however the salad had marinated chickpeas that had onions in them that I was not aware of .. At this point I was upset and just gave up on that order and sent it back without asking for anything else. Again, the server was really mindful but this order was just not right. Anyway, the rest of the food we ordered was decent. The only thing I really enjoyed was the chocolate peanut butter milkshake that I ordered. Hopefully, this was just a fluke. I’ve been to their other locations before more than a few times and something similar happened in one of those times but for the most part, their...
